Have you ever bought something from a Limited Edition but haven't found the courage to touch it? So you stashed it deeply into your beauty closet?

Well, I have, and it really feels like shopping in your own stash when you find a gem...

Let me introduce my Shu Uemura by Mika palette. This one even has more special memories because I bought it in the winter 2008 in Paris in Le Printemps ♥

The colours, oh la la, I really like them all and I can say that the quality is still quite good, even after being stored for almost four years. He he, perhaps we can call this the beauty-deadstock vintage find (deadstock is vintage that has never been used in clothing terms).

Colour No. 3 is actually another illusive peach I am craving at the moment...

And yes, I finally used some of the colours...finally!

I also bought a necklace from the sweetest seller who especially listed it for international shipping after I asked it

I actually wanted the necklace because of the tribal form, ánd because one of the stones is made from Labradorite. (It's from ArtifactsEtCetera).

Now I feel a leeeeettttle bit spoiled....

the Luxe, Niche and Snobby hauls

This week I felt really sad for myself...

I miss the company of my best friend, who is actually living overseas (remember the last posts about  the overseas sisters lipgloss, yeh, that is me as well).

I thought I could do better than feeling sad and lonely, so I perked myself with some really luxe, niche and snobby goodies...

The Luxe

A too-expensive body oil...

I just know I could replicate this with a nice melon-oil carrier oil and some neroli essential oil...but my dear...it is Tom Ford Daaahhhling...and too expensive for its 61 euros...still, I needed it!

I could order it online from Belgium webshop Parfuma.com...and I didn't only order the body oil...

The Niche

High end makeup that is really difficult to get, either online or in brick-and-mortar store...

My dear readers...FINALLY, I could order Armani Cosmetics ONLINE!

I ordered the supergorgeous Medittereanean palette...And yes, it is probably dupeable with the eyeshadows I have, but ohhh...♥♥♥ itssoprettyitsoprettyitsopretty ♥ ♥ ♥

They were really generous with samples. I could write down my preference of samples. And yeh, I wrote down Armani Cosmetics. They gave me the Skin Fabric in 04, the Primer, and a gorgeous and niche perfume sample from Armani. The shipping was in two days, so that was instant anti-sadness gratification for me.


The Snobby

Last year I was able to visit the store in real life...Well, they are one of the snobbiest bunch around, although there were some moody, too-fassshionable girls that asked me moodily if they could help me (OH WOW). Anyway, did not buy anything that moment, but wanted to return for a Diana camera.

Anyway, the doorman said it was closed, but I saw quite a crowd inside...I probably did not have one of those big, so-called trendy glasses on (that I actually think are quite unflattering on every person, although the rest of the world think they are sooo trendy). Anyway, I actually said I would never buy anything from them, but they had a wicked sale and I wanted a Pat Falcäo necklace for such a long time...

The postman who delivered it to me is not so snobby (just sometimes, when he knows I want the parcel really bad, LOL), so yeh, hurray for online ordering...

The whole necklace:

I got it on sale from 57 euros, but it is now back at its original price from 85 euros (check to see if I am blagging or not here).

The designer is a Brazilian woman who was an engineer in sciences first, but went to cultivate her creative side...I really like that...

That is my Brazilian heart to conclude my luxe, niche and snobby hauls for this week.

Oh, wait...I actually forgot my hair-haul that includes my niche Oribe Signature Cream, but I will write about that later...

Pre-Xmas gift musings...

This necklace would make a perfect gift for the pug-loving people...

I personally like dogs myself, but they can be a bit much to take care of.

Etsy jewellery: Tinadee's BOGO

Etsy has become such a daily place to hang out. I have become smitten with the creativity of various sellers. Etsy is perfect for finding your bit of exclusivity for a often reasonable price. I often check out the section for the WEEKEND SALES, which often has a wonderful and irresistable deal lying around for me

One of the categories I enjoy most these days is jewellery! So, I would like to attend my fellow Etsy and jewellery fans that Etsy is having the weekend sales centered around....yes yes yes...jewellery. Read all about it here (and scroll down to the comments for additional deals).

Two weeks ago it was BOGO weekend, and I found that one of the stores I had listed as favourite in my wishlist, was having a true BOGO (Buy One get One....FREE). I leaped at the opportunity and ordered two gorgeous rings from Tinadee. It arrived last tuesday with free international shipping as well.

Left is the gold-filled ring I ordered. I added the Sterling Bud and Leaf Summertime Ring as the freeby.

They are mentioned to be as stackable rings, so they are thin and not too obtrusive, which I love. They have a delicate nature and do not clash with my other rings...they add extra dimension to it.

Tinadee is joining the weekend sales as well: 25% off sale this Friday - Sunday - just use the code "weekend deals". Honestly, it is not a smashing sale as the BOGO, but it is still a nice opportunity to pick an lovely piece of jewellery.

Hauling makes me happy every now and then...buying from bloggers I know (a bit, though) makes me extra glad.....

So, when I came home last saturday I had a bunch of packages waiting for me...it is the ultimate "happy return" welcome, I believe ;D.

I was pretty quick in ordering the Jill Stuart summer 2009 palette from Kathi (lotuspalacesales) which will probably has irritated some potential buyers. Sorry for you, but I was so selfish to pick it up! I haven't been buying eyeshadows for ages, and after seeing some swatches of JS summer 2009 I was really happy to snap it up for a good price.

Gorgeous, stunning muted colours. I think the palette of colours is not specifically screaming SUMMER, but that makes it very suitable for me.

I also included my very first Sonia Rykiel palette! This palette is very summery indeed! Gorgeous colours that remind me of diving in tropical seas....mmmm

For the people who have been following Kathi's superpopular blog (and I guess most people who read my blog are certainly reading hers) are already aware that she has been buying a fantastic variety of cute stationary, deco tape, memo letters, etc. And yes, my envelope was already a gorgeous present, decorated with cute tape and kawaii stickers...

The cutest stationary: this letter is printed on both sides: I think it is Malaysian or Indonesian language?

The cat that cooks the best dinners!!!

Sweet Kathi also included two scented Miffy pens. They really smell like candy when you write with them.

Even more, she has been so incredibly generous! You know what she did: she included this FABULOUS RMK eyeshadow in 04 Silver Blue Beige as an extra. Those hearts are toooooo adorable ♥ ♥

I cannot wait to try and swatch all of the eyeshadows....

How do you like her new businesscard? It has the same, kawaii logo as her blog.

She also suprised me with some facial treats....my new passion: sheet masks....

This is bathsalt from Tabinoyado and it is absolutely amazing!!! It turns the water into a deep pink colour and smells like delicate flowers mixed with cherries. I absolutely need more of this.

I also snapped up another gorgeous necklace from amorevintage. I became mesmerized with another creation of Aileen.

Ohhh, my favourite Finnish jewelly maker included some matching earrings as well (as an extra)...awww, they are really dainty and pretty.

Everything came in the cutest packaging: the letter is so lovely with the roses, and the pink box makes everything look like a real treat!

I loved the polka dot envelope.

Etsy-tastic: simbiosisbyjulia, TheNebulousKingdom & munica

One of the things I like about Etsy.com it its international character. Last week I received some extraordinary goodies from places like the US (Oregon), France and Argentina. Creativity roams around the world, and I am so happy it is visible on a place like etsy.

The first haul I will show today is from the sale @ simbiosisbyjulia. Her pouches are so cute and well made, and really tick into the kawaii-cuteness of Japanese goodies. I had ordered three pouches, and they are adorable.


The first is miss. deer, a pink deer on a medium size pouch that gets her cherries from a lovely, blue bird. The medium pouch is just a tad bigger than the small pouch, but not too much.

Sweet miss deer with her long eyelashes and flowers (oh, and did you see that cute blue scarf?)

I think that Kathy from lotuspalace also said something about the wonderful lining of their work. I love this finish....It makes it look really professional.

I also received these sealife erasers as a freebie...It really reminds me of kindergarden!

This design is a bit more sophisticated, but still incredibly cute! I love the nature design and misses chicken as such model-like (aka skinny) legs...you flaunt it...chicky!

And lastly, the hooded bunny...I love this character.

I also appreciated this letter as a part of the customer service. However, I loved the haul, quality and service, so I am a happy camper!

TheNebulousKingdom is one of those shops from the French Anne-Julie, that has achieved national cult status on the Dutch blogs. Every now and then she converts her cute art into beautiful jewellery, but they sell sooo fast.

I had bought a necklace, although it is not as sophisticated as some of her works, I still loved the raven-haired lady.

I could not find the picture of the mirror I had bought, but it is this one:

I love how she decorated her envelopes. This inspires me to buy deco tape as well.

From Argentina came another lovely drawing of a girl...This time I ordered a brooch from Munieca. She is called 'Lady Butterfly in Love'...Another girl with the butterfly theme...

I love her red/pink hair. I think I could use it as a necklace as well.

Let me introduce you to my Cynthia...a whimsical and stunning piece of jewellery made by the artistic Aileen from Amore-Vintage.blogspot.com.

I spotted this beauty on her jewellery blogsite, and I was completely enchanted by the colour of the rose, the dainty pearls and the Victorian-inspired ladylike-ness of the necklace.

That was not all: Aileen mailed me a envelope full of lovely extras...Finnish candy, a mystery package....

And matching earrings! That is really handy because I am such a faux-matcher. I have the ability to throw on things at random. I am glad that kind of style is in fashion now, but I also like to have a matching set of earrings that can accompany the loveliness of the necklace.

Mmm, the small white package contained a Finnish soap...

Aileen, thank you so much. Your necklace is gorgeous and it looks fantastic on. I would wear it to a wedding or another romantic event anytime. I think it looks gorgeous on in common settings as well.

Jewellery crush: marquiscamus

I am probably one of the many that have been crushing on beautiful accessories and jewellery lately. I already bought a übergorgeous necklace from the talented glowchaser lately (here). I have, however, a more expensive crush right now.

I found the jewellery site marquiscamus.com, and have been blown away by the whimsical and quirky pieces they have been making. They combine several materials and fabrics in order to make true statement necklaces and other trinklets. Look at this modern piece!


Their prices, alas, are rather impressive as well...ahum. I am thinking about recreating some of the easier pieces from their collection, with my own spin on it. But as for now, I will be looking regularly to the beautiful pieces.

I love the names of the collections as well: they consist of Modern Rebel, Victorian Romance, Victorian Rebel, Red Carpet and Joker.

This chain beneath is of the Victorian Rebel collection. It combines black cloth roses on a chunky black chain, and those little stones at the end are 'Vintage Chandelier crystal' (here, don't look at the price)

A piece from the Modern Rebel collection....Look at the combination of that tie and jewellery: BRILLIANT.

Pretty and princessy: the Victorian Romance collection. This piece has a vintage perfume bottle dangling beneath (here). I wonder if the necklace would be heavy like this.
