If you dare to watch the US every now and then, perhaps with the help of comedians like Trevor Noah in the 'Today Show', you might find coal being the hot topic of last week's news...<strike>Thanks</strike>/due to The US president it is probably the negotiations with China this week, something new and conflicting about the POTUS every week, right? Anyway, coal should not become a fuel anymore.</div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
On the bright site, <i><b>charcoal has never been hotter in skincare</b></i>. So let's hear it for the positive about some of my skincare finds...</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjUsC59mm5R5l-Ze_hiOSC9meg5M7Ir35Y1L29bWslPaXZVWQ4B2w1m10N0gA7TuONVwtWNKXzIngz4IgMOL6LaLYdQlpr_JQK3WJzo6Q9WXJw7oB08DpRJaVjExEqoi0H3Kn7DW2m9bowm/s1600/IMG_4466.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjUsC59mm5R5l-Ze_hiOSC9meg5M7Ir35Y1L29bWslPaXZVWQ4B2w1m10N0gA7TuONVwtWNKXzIngz4IgMOL6LaLYdQlpr_JQK3WJzo6Q9WXJw7oB08DpRJaVjExEqoi0H3Kn7DW2m9bowm/s640/IMG_4466.JPG" width="570" /></a></div>
<br />
<ul>
<li>I have been trying out a couple of Charcoal soaps, and I find the <i><b>Bamboo Charcoal soap</b></i> from <b>Funky Soap London</b> to be one of the purest with the best bit of mint inside. As I said in my last posts, my psoriasis had been flaring up like a Australian forest fire in their summer and this has been one of the few soaps my skin could 1. tolerate 2. clean gently and 3. clear up the flare ups partly. Now my skin is a lot healthier, this soap feels amazing in purifying the skin and I love to wash my face with it too, as a part of step 2 of the double cleanse. Funky Soap London sells these big chunks of soap on etsy (<a href="https://www.etsy.com/listing/257438826/1-piece-bamboo-charcoal-cleansing-soap?ref=shop_home_feat_3">here</a>) for <span class="vertical-align-middle " id="listing-price">€4.00 and shipping is rather reasonable too.</span></li>
<li><span class="vertical-align-middle " id="listing-price">I think that <b>Boscia Detoxifying Black Cleanser</b> has been discussed frequently on blogs and the Gram. I agree this is a gorgeous facewash and the warming element makes it feel like it's working even more effectively opening and purifying the pores. Hence, it gets my supporting vote as well.</span></li>
<li><span class="vertical-align-middle " id="listing-price">I stumbled upon <b>Ecodenta Black whitening Toothpaste </b>after I was looking for a more affordable option for </span><span class="st">the very hyped <i>Sister & Co</i> Raw Coconut & Activated <i>Charcoal</i> Tooth Whitening. </span><span class="st">Ecodenta is indeed under a fiver and I already see a whitening effect on a more natural base. Perhaps the ingredient of </span><span class="vertical-align-middle " id="listing-price">€30-ish Sister & Co would have been a tad more pure, nevertheless the shipping -<i>carbon wais</i>t- would add more polution to the environment. Ecodenta is produced in the<i> </i>Baltic States but Holland & Barrett import it in a larger frequency. Oh heck, the price is better ; )</span></li>
<li><span class="vertical-align-middle " id="listing-price">The mascara featured has nothing to do with added charcoal but I really liked the look of it, and the brush. This <b>Outdoor Girl mascara</b> has a dryer formula but I use the brush only right now with my other mascara's.</span></li>
<li><span class="vertical-align-middle " id="listing-price">I bought a couple of travel sized <b>Byredo </b>candles during the christmas season, and <i>Bibliothèque </i>has been one of my favourites because of the bookish, vintage scent. Do not worry you will only smell old books as the violet's will bring in that hopeful scent of young femininity of a girl who hopes her lovelife will be as exhilarating as the romantic novels she is reading.</span></li>
</ul>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Charcoal can be effective as a purifying product, and with some additional ingredients they can work in synch with helping your skin to get the desired effect. For example, by adding Tumeric you can also help to calm down inflamed skin, and turmeric would even function as an anti-ager. Personally, I had extremely sensitive skin and charcoal has been one of the few ingredients I could tolerate.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Besides these featured products, I have also tried some other hyped charcoal products. One of them was Freeman Charcoal & Black Sugar Facial Polishing Mask. I found that Freeman version to be so incredibly overfraganced compared to the purer versions featured above, and my facial skin got irritated after using it. Hence, I do not believe <i>every</i> and <i>any</i> charcoal product would be best, so better do your research and use the purer versions when having sensitive skins.</div>

</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-size: large;"><i><b>Don't you often get that feeling that when something is a true hype, you start looking elsewhere? </b></i></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
As with sheetmasking, I have been into Asian trends since the beginning of my blog (about 2007) and the occasional sheetmasks has often been a part of my facial routine. Don't get me wrong...I am so happy about the variety of sheetmasks popping up everywhere, instead of waiting for days for my gmarket Korea packet to come in...Sheetmasks are brilliant in moisture and adding a essence/serum really effectively, but when it comes to getting that pure, porepurging feeling...<b>Clay is the word! </b></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEht8-y2Pr5eM46JVdEadF2S-ZVi_jH4wTfhdHh_V0MSUHFANqOP6DSS6NODbHSb7t75fXQ74m2D6gCgtlet8kU9uVtKvxQkTt1TIGboCe3Y7Bm-u93vI0mqPTN6FcnQKRUufhgHCvu3qgtj/s1600/IMG_4568.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEht8-y2Pr5eM46JVdEadF2S-ZVi_jH4wTfhdHh_V0MSUHFANqOP6DSS6NODbHSb7t75fXQ74m2D6gCgtlet8kU9uVtKvxQkTt1TIGboCe3Y7Bm-u93vI0mqPTN6FcnQKRUufhgHCvu3qgtj/s640/IMG_4568.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Since I am still lazy to borrow from my own Instagram, ofcourse meticulously taken and edited photos, I had the theme "#spooning for #singlegirls is all about Multiple Masking". So there you go: 4 gorgeous colours of clay-based masks that each have a different purpose for the skin.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<b>Left to Right</b>:</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<ul>
<li><b>Lush <i>Don't Look At Me</i></b> Mask is as fresh as its smurfblue colour. It has a good whopping of citrus juice combined with the base-clay of Kaoline. Citrus Juice is nice for brightening skin and purifying pores, but I would steer away from the sensitive parts of your face. This one went on the nose and chin. It is quite fraganced of neroli essential oil...The blue colour, unfortunately, is a colourant and not derived from any natural clay-source.</li>
<li><b>Cattier Paris <i>Pink Clay</i> </b>Mask is the perfect type of clay for purifying sensitive skin. The list of ingredients is short: Pink clay, Organic sheabutter, Organic peppermint extract, Lactic acid (vegetable), Organic Aloe vera but that is enough to purify on a gentle level. The price was under a fiver and the cream-to-clay formula is easier than handling the power version of pink clay.</li>
</ul>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi2fv2-J4Zk880dNnqHTY3zmeGqlz3stw7sNP-G85WZpZ0ob8SaWs6R0mx1RRLSlVVCKO6kOnsY9KRWppdi11C9Fj81ASTPraoUQVjOw__JmB7OHeAJU_Ek7b7aR8KFifUWnmWKt1Gb99Jj/s1600/IMG_4549.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi2fv2-J4Zk880dNnqHTY3zmeGqlz3stw7sNP-G85WZpZ0ob8SaWs6R0mx1RRLSlVVCKO6kOnsY9KRWppdi11C9Fj81ASTPraoUQVjOw__JmB7OHeAJU_Ek7b7aR8KFifUWnmWKt1Gb99Jj/s640/IMG_4549.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
</div>
<ul>
<li> Before <b>Herbana</b> I never heard of <b>Purple Clay</b> before. According to Herbana (<a href="https://www.etsy.com/listing/260129653/face-neck-firming-mask-lifting-restoring?ga_order=most_relevant&ga_search_type=all&ga_view_type=gallery&ga_search_query=purple%20clay%20mask&ref=sr_gallery_3">here</a>) "Violet clay is a combination of a few natural clays which contains low
concentration natural minerals. It is rich in silica and less absorptive
than green clays" and I get a similar summing up of minerals from <a href="https://elementomineral.wordpress.com/clays/"><u>this</u></a> and <a href="https://nurturesoap.com/products/purple-brazilian-clay?variant=20034085446"><u>this</u></a> site. Now Herbana amped up the youth-boosting factor for adding argan oil, Rosehip Oil and Aloe Vera gel. It still dries to a dry and violet mask but the effect is incredibly soft. I really like the effect this masks gives me: I feel purified without that overly dry feeling some clay masks can give. This retails for a reasonable <span class="st">€ 13 on Etsy, and will make fun selfie/masking/scaring your cat/loved one game.</span></li>
</ul>
<ul style="text-align: center;">
<li style="text-align: left;">You might have heard a lot about <b>NIOD </b>and their <b>Flavavone Mud</b> Mask. Niod often has an incredibly story behind their innovative ingredients, and this one is no exception about their triple faces of 1. Purifying ; 2. Protecting & 3. Responsive Phase. For the whopping amount of <span class="st">€ 35 a good story should be behind it, right? Personally, I was not really wowed by this mask. During my most sensitive phase of my psoriasis, it actually felt quite drying and not really helping my skin. The Cattier Pink clay actually worked at that same phase, so I guess price, an elaborate story and innovation are not always an <i>all-cure-for-all</i>. Now my skin is a lot calmer, I find it just ok but not as good as the Cattier or my gorgeous new Herbana. I still like a lot of NIOD's products, especially the Copper serum, but this one did not float my boat.</span></li>
</ul>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span class="st">Just as sheetmasking can be a lot of fun, I think the added natural or unnatural colours of the claymasks can look fun and also have an a beneficial value. Most people would think of claymasks as drying and more suitable for oily/combined skin but the gentlier versions of pink and purple clay can be quite beneficial for dryer, dehydrated and maturing skins thanks to the additional minerals. Closing off the skin from air and other elements, similar as taking a sheetmask, often helps the regeneration/purifying process some more. However, take in mind that clays can draw out the occassional pimple as well so perhaps before a date or special occasion, the sheetmasks would be a tad more smoothing. </span></div>

<div style="text-align: center;">

<div style="text-align: center;">
Going off the blog has not diminished my love for cosmetics...<i>au contraire...</i>I think I bought more because my skin was very *wack* and sensitive so my game was more on.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I went to post on Instagram (@suikerstruisje), every now and then, because I just love how a beautiful product can look in synch with other elements. But I miss writing in depth of how it works and how I find it effective. Emoticons are what they are, simple, and lengthy reviews are often looked over at the Gram.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEifkXf_Oo5BJyduwIUHRXIMbwtUvmHfH1eFOI4s5Jm1HzoMnWYm1y5-ku5r3bo6Vn74SlBuQin_4ERvlzdX6rd5oyVjMgL2FB-5fEVPMcBdaiP-PYC1WFMaaHdXyHtv-Nl-hU-Lu9mp0lMf/s1600/IMG_4363.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEifkXf_Oo5BJyduwIUHRXIMbwtUvmHfH1eFOI4s5Jm1HzoMnWYm1y5-ku5r3bo6Vn74SlBuQin_4ERvlzdX6rd5oyVjMgL2FB-5fEVPMcBdaiP-PYC1WFMaaHdXyHtv-Nl-hU-Lu9mp0lMf/s640/IMG_4363.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br />
So let's work it on the blog again :)! </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Left to right: </div>
<ul>
<li><b>Olivine</b> <i><b>Love & Roses</b></i> Beauty mist could pass as simple rosewater concoction, were it not that the roses have been organically harvested, rose quartz have been infused in the water, Moringa Seed extract, Andean Orchid Flower and Cassia extract that mimics hyaluronic acid...To amp up the beauty ritual, <a href="https://www.shopolivine.com/products/love-roses-beauty-mist">Olivine</a> recommends chanting/voicing the mantra '<i>I am divine'</i> while spritzing your face with this gorgeous tonic. Moreover, the bottle is a recyclable glass... </li>
<li><b>The Ordinary <i>Buffet </i></b>has become one of the Ordinary's star products, although it would be hard to pick a favourite of any of <b>Deciem</b>'s newer, affordable skincare-line. What makes Buffet such a winner is the massive concoction of peptides that has been a bliss to my post Fraxel-laser skin...During autumn '16 my skin hardly recovered from the abrasive actions of the laser, nevertheless this peptide concoction offered my skin a helping hand in building up new skincells (also thanks to Rosehip oil and Manuka honey). For more info on the peptide blend, check their website <a href="http://theordinary.com/product/rdn-buffet-30ml"><u>here</u></a>.</li>
<li><b>Herbivore <i>Orchid</i> </b>anti ageing Face oil has the most gorgeous dainty smell of all my skincare. And that is a lot. Positive emotions by scent can also help the pro-youth feeling (I don't like the word 'anti-ageing' for the record). Then I hear you think: with <i>soooo</i> many oils on the market, what makes this one IT? To me, I like a simple ingredient list with oils, I like complicated serums but the oils should be oils and a tad simple. Notwithstanding, they should be very potent. Orchid extract has minerals like Zinc, Calcium and Magnesium but the process of the flower developing itself is so intricate that the 'plant memory' of youth and regeneration is quite upscale. Adding a beautiful Camelia Flower oil for the positive omegas makes it a gorgeous blend.</li>
</ul>
Ok, so let me add the way I posted this on Instagram. I'm always itching to write full reviews...<br />

<div style="text-align: center;">
Now I noticed I've gotten lazier on the text...So give me some time and I'll be full-on blogger again, with plenty-o-text...

<div style="text-align: center;">
Hi all, the blog is still on...I just need to grow a bit!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
In general, but my hair particularly. It was the time to lob when blond-o-rexia had taken the best out of my hair. It had not been my particular<a href="http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=Blondorexia"><i><b> blond-o-rexia </b></i></a>but an overeager hairdresser. And you know my game: I bring on everything and some that could cure it...I had to bring in some defeat, and the Lob it was...</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Good the Canadians at <b>Deciem</b> have not been quiet this year. You might known them from their gorgeous <b>NIOD</b> line (copper serum anyone?) or their affordable <b>Hylamide</b> line. This year they added <b>'Stemm</b> for hair, and <b>The Ordinary</b> for even-more-affordable skincare (more on that later).</div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
<b>'Stemm Density Stimuli </b>is a hairgrowth serum based on similar premises as <b>Phylia [de M] Connect </b>I have been blogging about [<b><a href="http://birkinbagbeauty.blogspot.nl/search/label/Phylia%20de%20M">here</a></b>] frequently: it has <b>Fulvic Acid</b> as it's main component which is a mineral that stimulates hair growth. </div>

Doesn't it look like a milk-cart package or takeaway meal or such? I do love their attention to a plastic free case, though the bottle is in a durable type of plastic.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br />
As for applying the serum, there is a dropper you use when applying, the cap is just for closure.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhfoaN1WCDTPPHCgczFWolJJQ28b7k4SkSFps82zv-wlOMgtXeO4OuFodQe4NfVzSHAE32rnQI9iR0sksZjoebCwUHR8m5tF24RL8IxS3215OhfueHNyURrvDoGylouFYwrbCvQ7GxrpDze/s1600/IMG_3454.JPG" imageanchor="1"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhfoaN1WCDTPPHCgczFWolJJQ28b7k4SkSFps82zv-wlOMgtXeO4OuFodQe4NfVzSHAE32rnQI9iR0sksZjoebCwUHR8m5tF24RL8IxS3215OhfueHNyURrvDoGylouFYwrbCvQ7GxrpDze/s400/IMG_3454.JPG" width="400" /></a>
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<br />
And I still wanted to support the people at Vine video by making a dodgy - how to use the dropper? - video...<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<iframe frameborder="0" height="600" src="https://vine.co/v/5Ed2paeQtmJ/embed/simple" width="600"></iframe><script src="https://platform.vine.co/static/scripts/embed.js"></script>
</div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
Yes, the sound is the nostalgic 2010 vibe of the XX 'heart skips a beat'...Let's hope it doesn't skip too much as only to pump nutrients to the hairshaft. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
After 1 and a half month I can say there is a <b>small improvement in the amount of growth</b>. I can measure at the highlights I placed in November, which is about 2 cm. Normally, in winter I only have 1 cm tops...</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
More importantly, I just <b>love what it does to volume and density</b>. You apply the serum at nighttime, and the morning I feel the roots are slightly lifted. Yes, volume with a Lob goes easier than with a booblength, but my virgin hair (on top) has the tendency to be lanky and heavy. This serum gives the effect of a good volume mousse without any scent or stickiness. It also looks incredibly healthy from the top, especially when you compare it to the <i>blond-o-rexia-ed </i>parts. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Unfortunately, I have only seen a minor increase in new hairs growing: I had unsuccesfull extensions in May this year which yanked out a big heap of my hair in the back. This hair is still thinner compared to the top. It is called traction aclopedia and it does not only happen to me: See Kim K for it:</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh9F-RTctJGQOLSSEx-FPMSTXqWdEIcn0GcKV58UlMVpbUTTABh56kyu7xv-nwwkgGfQhMb7nhQN56c4NodTPaHVHnKJLsm7qDT0ZBpKSBAa-7iMtWqoT5wfJL3mBSjm7n4VaaQuNTF7ZnT/s1600/Screen+Shot+2016-12-28+at+5.31.31+PM.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh9F-RTctJGQOLSSEx-FPMSTXqWdEIcn0GcKV58UlMVpbUTTABh56kyu7xv-nwwkgGfQhMb7nhQN56c4NodTPaHVHnKJLsm7qDT0ZBpKSBAa-7iMtWqoT5wfJL3mBSjm7n4VaaQuNTF7ZnT/s400/Screen+Shot+2016-12-28+at+5.31.31+PM.png" width="360" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Side gap alert! Mine is not that bad because I had them twice but heck, when it happens to someone with sooo much cash and influence...</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
According to various sources (eg <a href="http://www.belgraviacentre.com/blog/can-modern-hair-extensions-and-weaves-still-cause-hair-loss/"><u>here</u></a>), it takes 1 to 2 years for the hair to fully recover <u>:</u>(.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Anyway, for the time being I am liking the results I am having from the <b>'Stemm Density Stimul</b>i. It is not whoppingly cheap, <span class="price org" id="ContentPlaceHolder1_PaymentWidgetV2_BuyPriceOrg">43.00 EUR for 60 ml, but it will last for about 2 months. It gives me the feeling I am working on my natural [hair] growth without going bonkers about it. It makes me like my Lob [for the time being] as a new style, but does not keep me mentally in limbo on having to keep it this length. </span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span class="price org" id="ContentPlaceHolder1_PaymentWidgetV2_BuyPriceOrg"><br /></span></div>

</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Summer is still blooming around...perhaps it is more drying to skin than you anticipated. <i>Or</i>, when going city-tripping you can find your pores going congested like nothing else.<br />
<br />
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgATdQ-sXJLT2aLd_te3bnBrO6wJbQjYS-xgmxCy56vvbrwu5oGnmdvp0wI-eSP3oAgannDsLAdGHa6lf8-870IfKv-OC8q3J0ljvJjXBD4VEh6SUO7vFHFxxuc7wp5u9CpjY6t-5zjjiig/s1600/IMG_2156.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="587" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgATdQ-sXJLT2aLd_te3bnBrO6wJbQjYS-xgmxCy56vvbrwu5oGnmdvp0wI-eSP3oAgannDsLAdGHa6lf8-870IfKv-OC8q3J0ljvJjXBD4VEh6SUO7vFHFxxuc7wp5u9CpjY6t-5zjjiig/s640/IMG_2156.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<ul style="text-align: center;">
<li>For the occasional bout of dryness I gotten myself this cute <b>Dr. Jart+ Ceramidin </b>pill mask. I've been sheetmasking before K-beauty gotten mainstream and it's fun they have gotten easier available. </li>
<li>I've already gotten the <b>Boscia Detoxing Black Cleanser</b> in a sample size, and absolutely loved the warming effect on the skin. I love this liquid form of charcoal cleansing and I noticed it really helped getting to those pesky blackheads. Something not many products are effective off with my skin.</li>
</ul>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I also went on the bandwagon with <b>Son & Park's Beauty water</b>... </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiVCMhxnYbgaF6nqGyEQ_XVLa6HeuroinpaR8A2o0bDdEQ0KL3IeP2AJppMvJ1YZEwqqxDAUfhb1bHDdqc9-q1PIaAjKNWwqlvz72BzuFZTAEzNi89ewZzln1s8EPEOd5VUj9H2OsmTn7nm/s1600/IMG_2157.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiVCMhxnYbgaF6nqGyEQ_XVLa6HeuroinpaR8A2o0bDdEQ0KL3IeP2AJppMvJ1YZEwqqxDAUfhb1bHDdqc9-q1PIaAjKNWwqlvz72BzuFZTAEzNi89ewZzln1s8EPEOd5VUj9H2OsmTn7nm/s400/IMG_2157.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<i>Ohh</i>, I really love how the air in the water is looking in the bottle.<br />
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhUnIi63s37f1Gt4ApCOJLcZaArgNqttjrCwSsEttra5esSYJ36YARktkC-hDfiWid1P4MhE2NehAbnFDRPwfNVv724Unphbf9wl0FJ2FLchfMO6wdsxRr-IspdeUhdpSB3TEpdY0tO6NQi/s1600/IMG_2158.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhUnIi63s37f1Gt4ApCOJLcZaArgNqttjrCwSsEttra5esSYJ36YARktkC-hDfiWid1P4MhE2NehAbnFDRPwfNVv724Unphbf9wl0FJ2FLchfMO6wdsxRr-IspdeUhdpSB3TEpdY0tO6NQi/s640/IMG_2158.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br />
I had to decorate it with my <span style="color: purple;"><a href="https://www.etsy.com/shop/luxdivine">Luxdivine</a></span> (etsy) armband and the scarf is D&G summer collection.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I rediscovered cheeks with<b> NARS <i>Nars-issist</i> Dual intensity blush palette</b>.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjiz215Sqbx_Z8ObzrTzsjseQ3tYIzSWcolxAODRYfUxb5GUKn4P_hrvrAEf6ukir2ni58eue_53ASsU6HyrsZPiFfAxijvkfJ5OgFlBb_V4amSfZ3cU4fmXRwfTgAl_wa0eNsdq0HkwuN7/s1600/IMG_2168.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjiz215Sqbx_Z8ObzrTzsjseQ3tYIzSWcolxAODRYfUxb5GUKn4P_hrvrAEf6ukir2ni58eue_53ASsU6HyrsZPiFfAxijvkfJ5OgFlBb_V4amSfZ3cU4fmXRwfTgAl_wa0eNsdq0HkwuN7/s640/IMG_2168.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
It is certainly a fantastic blending blush texture...I'm smitten. My cheeks <i>glowwwww</i>...</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I have been upping up my foundation game with an oldie and a newbie:</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi8ihsdc5l80LzWr9U7GQPh80Z191Uf2Q5Dge9hfEgKnS5-SH9-J2ii7nmLyGmt4nBsYQ43iUKnCwwsAz1sRnjBu67cDSfW8od7fvin5wcEJr4bNqEWyzby4f2ZbfqK3pXbeki9oGo-x1UL/s1600/IMG_2159.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi8ihsdc5l80LzWr9U7GQPh80Z191Uf2Q5Dge9hfEgKnS5-SH9-J2ii7nmLyGmt4nBsYQ43iUKnCwwsAz1sRnjBu67cDSfW8od7fvin5wcEJr4bNqEWyzby4f2ZbfqK3pXbeki9oGo-x1UL/s640/IMG_2159.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<ul style="text-align: center;">
<li><b>Mac Face & Body </b>is and oldie but still high in the ranks of makeupartists. I've picked a darker colour for my body as I have some white spots that I need to even out.</li>
<li><b>Nars Velvet Matte Skin</b> tint is new on the market. I was not enterely sure as the colours tend to look a bit too yellow for my colouring, but they look velvety and real on (self-)tan skin. I still think the gap between Cusco and Annapurna is too large in colour dept.</li>
</ul>
<div style="text-align: center;">
One of the Sephora Beauty reward boxes contained Alterna. I love their Caviar Protein line but feel (and can see) that my hair might be healthy enough to alternate with moisture. So bring on the moisture with the <b>Caviar</b><i>Anti Ageing</i><b> Replenishing Moisture line.</b><br />
<br />
</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
</div>
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgs_O4X5NQnveXq85ZDh0zuyvTXB_3GPKvjN8pWH2E2htu9KDL9ZyWrWNF684QUx0QfRVY6Z19qxCgJ-QQx1tpgoSMqYO4nTFZZ-uGlp8_chLKJ-2CscfKXfM48sN-ViBp5HYJSPX-JUWrc/s1600/FullSizeRender%252819%2529.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="486" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgs_O4X5NQnveXq85ZDh0zuyvTXB_3GPKvjN8pWH2E2htu9KDL9ZyWrWNF684QUx0QfRVY6Z19qxCgJ-QQx1tpgoSMqYO4nTFZZ-uGlp8_chLKJ-2CscfKXfM48sN-ViBp5HYJSPX-JUWrc/s640/FullSizeRender%252819%2529.jpg" width="640" /></a><br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
Ok, I say I'm team Alterna but I also have team Christophe Robin and I've been enjoying some other shampoos lately as well. But in the end Alterna would be my desert island brand!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Last but not least, nails. Since everybody and their grandma have been into nailart, gellnails everything etc, I have been neglecting my mani with a simple coat of strenghtener. Very sheer, kinda blah.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhTKbrXerDO4jESSV1UsUvp2usIsmdJx0AwuX8asu-Ht5gHPmXOICeTR3qBYOe4aahXO-W9maryIcFP5gLXHAwxH-K_lBdFb1Mo-hwfFByAcep3HLhC4czoboYotHMj1CdTlRBz54K3Vv_9/s1600/image%252871%2529+copy.jpeg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhTKbrXerDO4jESSV1UsUvp2usIsmdJx0AwuX8asu-Ht5gHPmXOICeTR3qBYOe4aahXO-W9maryIcFP5gLXHAwxH-K_lBdFb1Mo-hwfFByAcep3HLhC4czoboYotHMj1CdTlRBz54K3Vv_9/s640/image%252871%2529+copy.jpeg" width="640" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<ul style="text-align: center;">
<li>I thought some <b>Chanel</b> could bring back my colour game: <b>Turban</b> looks bright enough for summer and classic enough for always.</li>
</ul>
<ul style="text-align: center;">
<li>Another pretty one is the <b>Damask Rose</b> from <b>& Other Stories</b>. It looks so foiled on nails, incredible.</li>
</ul>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi9oLOpY6_rNhRNwAC-Sv85EP0Z-uOUDWIyPR6IibS_LZQnOLfzCZguMJiawv4H423L5Naflsgto3_67zpYwOA6V7IXAjrfxjhxZsMvRTI52RdX956D-No1u8dcIRm2JRbWN00vJt8Rtb6U/s1600/IMG_2185.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi9oLOpY6_rNhRNwAC-Sv85EP0Z-uOUDWIyPR6IibS_LZQnOLfzCZguMJiawv4H423L5Naflsgto3_67zpYwOA6V7IXAjrfxjhxZsMvRTI52RdX956D-No1u8dcIRm2JRbWN00vJt8Rtb6U/s640/IMG_2185.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
These have been some of my midsummer hauls. I'm already eyeing up some of the Autumn lines. <b>Kose Addiction by Ayako</b> has released these amazing new eyeshadows with names like <i>Dancer in the Dark</i>, <i>Hazy Night, Volcano </i>& <i>Modern Nostalgia</i>. The colours are as awesome to boot with their names and instagram is not holding too many secrets when recently renewed (just browse on the Japanese names). </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
As for skincare, I think I will hold on on some new finds that I will review soon for it. I'm kinda behind my reviews: being stuck into the instagram picturing mode makes me kind of lazy on the writing front...It does make me attempt to make prettier photos : )</div>

<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg2D6cS9x8-3Bm6qqFtmEZypeG17SNi3DCfXV7axMRRT7XrX75Ee8Zy6zMFIHq-CzRcrpdliE9oZ2hgolX6xxNtYMim54tg2FphMY_xUyWl1u1KMk8_dAcWHJxDoKM0nSFDfWkw5kwLB8U2/s1600/IMG_2001.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg2D6cS9x8-3Bm6qqFtmEZypeG17SNi3DCfXV7axMRRT7XrX75Ee8Zy6zMFIHq-CzRcrpdliE9oZ2hgolX6xxNtYMim54tg2FphMY_xUyWl1u1KMk8_dAcWHJxDoKM0nSFDfWkw5kwLB8U2/s640/IMG_2001.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
For being off the blog for so long, I have to say I start missing it. I started to have the urge to review lengthily on instagram...that's an instagram don't! Purty images first, link to review later.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
After getting a freebie beachspray from a <i>sort-a </i>fixed hairgirl stylist, I was like...I have a lot of these. Why not do a <span style="font-size: large;"><span style="color: #0b5394;"><span style="background-color: cyan;">5 days of faux-beachin'</span></span><span style="font-size: small;">? Because seriously, after <strike>beachin</strike> bitching oftenly about my hair, I seem to have reached instagram<i>-a-ble </i>hair status!</span></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgdX3ADPO1yOUKibTZfDCBmRzHqU-IHiYI5l3J8m_4QF31RKL6ceBnooFkXSOd49koc4wH-lVqI0hpOrcVwUZu9jhtcdj-KymUTe__SN6qMz1DswQOphXKwNSwhhsevNImZPcG7DJRkQvV6/s1600/IMG_2012.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgdX3ADPO1yOUKibTZfDCBmRzHqU-IHiYI5l3J8m_4QF31RKL6ceBnooFkXSOd49koc4wH-lVqI0hpOrcVwUZu9jhtcdj-KymUTe__SN6qMz1DswQOphXKwNSwhhsevNImZPcG7DJRkQvV6/s400/IMG_2012.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-size: large;"><span style="font-size: small;"> </span></span> </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Which means, I've been buying and using a lot of hairstuff (link<span style="background-color: #ffe599;"> <a href="http://birkinbagbeauty.blogspot.nl/search/label/hair">here</a></span>), eating healthily, and being a part of the Olaplex posse seems to pay off a bit. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
But that does not mean I'm playing</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
straight, sleek hair all the time...</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I'm liking the beach-babe role a lot and beachsprays can help a lot in making prissy straight a bit messy fun.<br />
<br />
Which explains the selection of beachsprays I will review. So why now in the midst of summer? Because nostalgia is going to kick in soon enough and that so-called memory will make us think our hair looked amazing after a dip in the sea. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
So keep on beachin'...</div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
I started Birkinbagbeauty with a strong interest in Asian Makeup. Through the years I have developed new interests like organic beauty and other. My love for a well-balanced eye-palette from Japanese crafship has never died... </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
In current times when more is absolutely too much in makeup (My own opinion), where contouring has gone to slightly "Prisilla, Queen of the Desert" proportions, lips are plump and matte and eyes are never seen without falsies, I started to long for a fresh face with a cute bit of blush and a delightfully soft but sparkly eye.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">

<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
That does not mean I compromise on quality: just look at the photo above and see that perfectly pressed state of eyeshadow-ness.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I picked the golden and warmer toned palette: There's something typically summery about a golden hue on the eyes.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
For the subtle fun, some microshimmer:</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgoLQLJWVTzOiaSmzh8VhH9RFho6QG16dNNzFfQRH3Ka09OuoTAEZU5UoiHo5LpJ77-7xXQF5U0fNitrBqZMo6cm6duGQAGYQUfhsNhx5AxmHNQGmIkoT6IAd9Z-wjIGo61oxjq2102Jk_y/s1600/7DDD1D33-B53E-4D77-A98D-81F585BCBE4B.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgoLQLJWVTzOiaSmzh8VhH9RFho6QG16dNNzFfQRH3Ka09OuoTAEZU5UoiHo5LpJ77-7xXQF5U0fNitrBqZMo6cm6duGQAGYQUfhsNhx5AxmHNQGmIkoT6IAd9Z-wjIGo61oxjq2102Jk_y/s400/7DDD1D33-B53E-4D77-A98D-81F585BCBE4B.JPG" width="393" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I am both impressed of the soft and buttery quality. However, for
becoming more and more spoiled with strong and vivid pigments, I do find
this palette a tad sheer. The mixture of a slightly bronzy gold, nice neutral brown and a buttery cream makes it easier for me to go eyeshadow again. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
The effect on eyes is similar as the promotion photo:</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y300/fruitycat/d2bbc73b-47b2-4990-92f9-e1b7f32c4b74.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y300/fruitycat/d2bbc73b-47b2-4990-92f9-e1b7f32c4b74.png" height="366" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
I'm glad to have reunited with Kanebo Kate again. Although we never left (think <a href="http://birkinbagbeauty.blogspot.nl/2013/12/kanebo-kate-lash-maximizer-eyelash-plus.html">Mascara primer</a>), I've gone too neutral on the eyes lately with just a bit of pencil. A small palette like this makes eyeshadow not intimidating, but a fun way of bringing the eyes into focus again....</div>

Actually weird, as mermaid would have perennially wet and salted hair by the sea. But I'll spare you the mythical details and let's just think gorgeous, bouncy and lustrous hair.</div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
I've been having a couple of dry-shampoos in the range of Bumble & Bumble, the delightful Klorane, Rene Furtherer and even a DIY blend of my own with arrowpowder and cacao. Still, this one has wowed me.<br />
<br />

<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I normally am not the greatest fan of dry shampoos: they do help to extend the hair for a day of showering, but the effect is always a bit too matte or just an unglossy bit that seems to tangle a bit easier. </div>

Also, I have been on a chemical-light diet for the hair...Haha, I haven't quit cold turkey as there are still some chemicals my hair needs every now and then: e.g. hairtoners etc. Once you started anything that goes beyond your natural hue of hair...</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
However, I'm trying to keep things more organic close to the scalp. And by trying this relatively newbie on the block I have found an excellent hair-mate.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
What I like is how you can dose it: want a tad of sprinkles or want a big heap of powder. Also, it is handluggage friendly and perfectly to-be- decanted in smaller proportions. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I need volume more in my life than ever. Reason: my hair has been a tad thinner since I tried another shot in hairextensions <span style="font-size: x-small;">(I took them out in a jiffy...another story, boohoo, a sad one). <span style="font-size: small;">Trying this dry shampoo on 3rd day hair made me realize I could get my old volume again. Normally, I prefer my hair after washing it, but this time I actually longed for the 3rd day, Mermaid boosted hairdo!</span></span></div>

<span style="font-size: x-small;"><span style="font-size: small;">Easy peasy, nothing obtrusive. Although I am not exactly a fan of how the Rose Geranium and Palmarosa ended up smelling like, it is absolutely a soft blend and ends of neutral (to my nose) within a couple of minutes after application.</span></span></div>

<i>The last two months have been in the line of winter survival. </i></div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
I don't know about you guys, but somewhat the fun in cosmetics gets out of it and everything is more about necessity. Shortly, I'm looking forward for a warm spring so my skin can behave normal again, and I can have fun with my cosmetic goodies again.</div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
Again, I'll have quite some used-ups and hygienic bye-bye's to show...</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi6fKKH3SKxCPFoErmgpZAnWU6on8bFxhmyBl4-_VvNwqLc1Wd1-P8PTfKVYn77M-oijZN6tfRdgqsPrDeY871PLID4VQlmABum39xWzfRueTN_dfb0FrIahMHhxyVv9SdtWCH5TTdHGh-A/s1600/38d7e4a2-ef70-48ce-bab3-5f457ea24554.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="467" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi6fKKH3SKxCPFoErmgpZAnWU6on8bFxhmyBl4-_VvNwqLc1Wd1-P8PTfKVYn77M-oijZN6tfRdgqsPrDeY871PLID4VQlmABum39xWzfRueTN_dfb0FrIahMHhxyVv9SdtWCH5TTdHGh-A/s640/38d7e4a2-ef70-48ce-bab3-5f457ea24554.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I'm gonna start with two of my favourites:</div>
<ul style="text-align: center;">
<li>The <b>NIOD Copper Amino Insulate Serum 1.00 %</b> has been <i>that</i> wonderfully blue liquid that smells so neutral and layers on like a calming liquid. You mix the 2 bottles up and store it in the fridge: how fresh is that? I saw an improve in the quality of my skin: repurchased already!</li>
<li><b>May Lindstrom The Blue Cocoon</b> has been a nicely soothing balm, but too expensive and not entirely healing on disturbed skin so I've been looking for alternatives (see <a href="http://birkinbagbeauty.blogspot.nl/2016/02/new-oils-herbivore-orchid-lapis.html">here</a>).</li>
</ul>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y300/fruitycat/f4ef9bb0-843f-4586-a530-dcfb5bb1eeef.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y300/fruitycat/f4ef9bb0-843f-4586-a530-dcfb5bb1eeef.jpg" height="400" width="640" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<ul style="text-align: center;">
<li><b>Alterna Caviar repair Fill & Fix treatment Mask</b> is a staple, abeit a pricy one. It packs up proteins for damaged hairs which has an instant effect, but also improves hairs in the long run</li>
<li><b>Fountain The Monecule in Happiness</b>: I already shared my like for Fountain's hyaluronacid infused liquid concoctions and I could use some more positive feelings last months.</li>
<li><b>Glonaturals Bodylotion</b>: It smells like chemical coconut but it packs in a good amount of moisture into winterskin. I mixed it with pure oils like St. Johnsworth to get extra hydration.</li>
<li><b>OlivineLove + Roses hydrating mist: </b>Lovely and so natural smelling rose water infusion. </li>
</ul>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y300/fruitycat/85175996-2cfe-4451-904d-dff2fcbc8712.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y300/fruitycat/85175996-2cfe-4451-904d-dff2fcbc8712.jpg" height="432" width="640" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<ul style="text-align: center;">
<li><b>Aromantic Camellia Seed Oil</b>: Aka Japanese Tsusaki oil works wonders on hair and is lovely on skin as well</li>
<li><b>De Tuinen Prickly Seed Oil</b>: Prickly seed oil is a powerhouse that often sells really expensive, think <a href="http://www.labellafigurabeauty.com/products/organic-barbary-fig-seed-oil"><i>La Bella Figura</i>'s version</a>. I loved this affordable version.</li>
<li><b>Andalou Naturals Luminous Eye Serum</b>: I order this in one of my Vitacost hauls and it moisturizes wonderfully without too much fragrance. As for anti-ageing? I'd prefer Pai.</li>
<li><b>Alterna Re-texturizing Protein Cream</b>: This is such a favourite of mine! It smoothes in frizzies wonderfully and builds up hair in the long run.</li>
<li><b>Givenchy Eclat Matissime</b>: This one is still full: it was not suitable for my sensitive skin. </li>
</ul>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj4wRr9bmQ_C3iw4Cvpro9dSI-1_RzZrump_0qU7tdecLQLGwqJNwDvy3X7m8wgk-5SbxiXHgbZUkS2XhDS4bpz-F-HoDaIlFiRvL9ToiZ2zW7Y6VsyFwBRjsPkgYudqSaiMx2YnW10c782/s1600/29755607-e388-4e19-b217-068bba707dde%25281%2529.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="378" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj4wRr9bmQ_C3iw4Cvpro9dSI-1_RzZrump_0qU7tdecLQLGwqJNwDvy3X7m8wgk-5SbxiXHgbZUkS2XhDS4bpz-F-HoDaIlFiRvL9ToiZ2zW7Y6VsyFwBRjsPkgYudqSaiMx2YnW10c782/s640/29755607-e388-4e19-b217-068bba707dde%25281%2529.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<ul style="text-align: center;">
<li><b>Bliss FatGirlSlim</b> has been a freebie in some box. I like it, but I'm a firm <span style="font-size: x-small;">(pun intended)</span> fan of my French line of anti-cellulite treatments (see a heap of mentions <a href="http://birkinbagbeauty.blogspot.nl/search/label/anti-cellulite%20treatment">here</a>). </li>
<li><b>Mario Badescu Super Collagen Mask</b> was another freebie. I feel nostalgic for anything Mario Badescu as it reminds me of my 1st couple of online cosmetic purchases around 2000. Then again, it only adds some moisture so I would not repurchase.</li>
<li><b>Givenchy Acti'mine Wake up skin Base</b>: another full tube I have to abandon as I am too oversensitive for it.</li>
<li><b>Andalou Naturals Argan Stem Cells Scalp intensive Lotion </b>is targetted for hairgrowth. I have not seen dramatic results but it might have helped.</li>
<li><b>Kinvaria 24hr Rosehip Face Serum</b> was a serum I bought on a rave review being <i>best thing ever</i> for sensitive skin. Another case of not liking the fragance: household cleaning stuff. <i>Blerg</i>.</li>
</ul>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y300/fruitycat/2a24cfda-2f3c-4416-bc9f-bf1f4f806b30.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y300/fruitycat/2a24cfda-2f3c-4416-bc9f-bf1f4f806b30.jpg" height="436" width="640" /></a></div>
<ul style="text-align: center;">
<li> <b>Cinema Secre</b>t makes some awesome makeup for professional use. Their <b>concealer palette</b> has been fab for covering imperfections, but I have this palette for many years so bye bye!</li>
<li><b>Fasio Eyebrow Gel </b>has been perfect for colouring the hairs of my eyebrow when they lightened in the sun. </li>
<li><b>Jadilla J BB Conceale</b>r still originates from my <a href="http://birkinbagbeauty.blogspot.nl/search/label/gmarket">Gmarket Haul days</a>. Funnily, now everyone seems to go K-beauty I find it soo 2008! The colour is too light for me these days but coverage was wonderful.</li>
<li>Another hygiene/older concealer I had to bin is <b>Models Prefer concealer duo</b>. Somewhat it did not blend wonderfully either (green and a beigy colour) so I haven't used it much.</li>
<li>This <b>Le Metier the Beaute eyebrow pencil</b> in <b>blonde</b> has been a perfect colour, but the pigment-hold was not spectacular on skin. Now it dried out...</li>
<li><b>Clarins Eclat Minute</b>...yes, fab coverage for under eyes but hygiene disposal again.</li>
</ul>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y300/fruitycat/90e43ab5-b286-4cb4-b15f-a37ba02d5606.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y300/fruitycat/90e43ab5-b286-4cb4-b15f-a37ba02d5606.jpg" height="456" width="640" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<ul>
<li><b>Tigi BedHead After Party </b>is one of those raved about haircreams that make your blowdry last beautifully. I liked it but prefer my organics and Alterna ranges over this one.</li>
<li><b>Tatcha Indigo Soothing cream</b> is another staple. Must-have for me. </li>
<li><b>Trevarno Eye cream</b> smelled like herbs gone wild...Also, a bit too thick for eyes.</li>
<li><b>Nails Inc</b> make some fab 3free nailpolishes that last and look superb. I loved this neutral pink.</li>
<li><b>NVey Eco compact foundation </b>was the most unblendable foundation ever. No likey. </li>
<li> I already discussed my<b> Herbivore Lapis oil </b>over <a href="http://birkinbagbeauty.blogspot.nl/2016/02/new-oils-herbivore-orchid-lapis.html">here</a> and I liked it a lot. </li>
</ul>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y300/fruitycat/80DAF552-9FBF-4645-9D7F-89B449DB93F8.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y300/fruitycat/80DAF552-9FBF-4645-9D7F-89B449DB93F8.jpg" height="640" width="640" /></a></div>
</div>
<ul style="text-align: center;">
<li><b>WLL3People Expressionist bio Extreme Mascara</b> is one of the mascaras the natural bloggers rave about. Nice, but they have not reached similar hold/volume over the chemical mascaras.</li>
<li><b>Bourjois Rouge Velvet </b>in<b> Fuschia</b> has a gorgeous hold and superb matte appearance before this matte-lip thingy has been going on. </li>
<li><b>Marc Jacobs Enamored Hi-Shine Gloss Lip Lacquer Lipgloss</b> in <b>Love Drunk</b> has been a sample I have been scraping the last bit out. Perfect mauvy shimmer! Adore...</li>
<li>Another <b>Marc Jacobs</b> winner has been his <b>O!Mega Lash Volumizing Mascara</b> I bought in Marseille, France. I would like to try his newer version but the reviews have been mixed.</li>
<li><b>Benefit Tinted Primer Hey, They're Real</b> does not live up to my beloved Kate Kanebo version (<a href="http://birkinbagbeauty.blogspot.nl/2013/12/kanebo-kate-lash-maximizer-eyelash-plus.html">here</a>).</li>
<li>Oh, and the tiny oil on the left has been <b>Kiss the Moon Midnight oi</b>l. Soo, gorgeous...on par with my new fascination with Herbivore oils.</li>
</ul>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y300/fruitycat/0c2cf8d1-f611-4d06-99fa-4d535785d841.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y300/fruitycat/0c2cf8d1-f611-4d06-99fa-4d535785d841.jpg" height="394" width="640" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<ul style="text-align: center;">
<li><b>Grow Gorgeous End split ends Leave in Serum</b> in from <i>that</i> Deciem line again. Ok, me and my sensitive nose but this is <i>sooo</i> masculine and overpowering I cannot use it.</li>
<li><b>Arcona Chamomile balm</b> smells amazingly soft, but it also brings in a good amount of soothing softness on par with May Lindstrom the Blue Cocoon, for a fraction the price: staple!</li>
<li><b>Wella Colour Fresh </b>in<b> Silver 10/81 </b>has been a end-of-holiday toner for my <i>then</i> blonde hair. This one tones gorgeously and only needs one bottle without mixing. More about it soon.</li>
<li>Another case of the ageing makeup product: My gorgeous <b>YSL palette</b>...awww...</li>
<li>Another staple is my <b>Collistar Face Magic Drops</b> for self-tan. Although I don't use it in winter, I use it to match my face to my body on beachy holidays.</li>
</ul>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I have been using up a lot of staples that are suitable to calm my oversensitive skin during the winter period. I have also ventured on some new products which has been a mixed bag of winners and <i>not-so-successful</i> for me. And I have been able to let go of some expensive brands that will not work for me (aww Givenchy)...<br />
</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
So for next month I hope to cleaned out my makeup-drawer a bit more, and be as diligent as ever to finish up products that I like : )</div>

<i>Spring is lurking but winter is still there: let's test some oils again.</i></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEixF9yNqSC8zbs-eUb7JUp5ArvVE81BJfjXxyFr-B1oFTEHUwjil2ogT4fqlkFRRflDeC6awnT6PyExIlf0eBfGguvp-CHb5WrWKTnyhxXFxXaVOEWhpDA18x_ZIxDrFTphOhfrfvvbmcMk/s1600/0809a13a-d43d-4dd1-a685-ce6c9183686e.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="500" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEixF9yNqSC8zbs-eUb7JUp5ArvVE81BJfjXxyFr-B1oFTEHUwjil2ogT4fqlkFRRflDeC6awnT6PyExIlf0eBfGguvp-CHb5WrWKTnyhxXFxXaVOEWhpDA18x_ZIxDrFTphOhfrfvvbmcMk/s640/0809a13a-d43d-4dd1-a685-ce6c9183686e.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Since I've been running out of the very expensive <b>May Lindstrom Blue Cocoon</b>, I wanted to find a nighttime treatment that would add the soothing proprieties of Blue Tansy. I liked Blue Cocoon, but somehow I am not the greatest fan of balms, even if they liquidify into a soft oil when warmed. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I found <b>Herbivore Oil Balancing Lapis face oil</b> with blue tansy on Sephora, but found out that their <a href="https://www.etsy.com/listing/182920975/lapis-facial-oil-roller?ref=shop_home_active_22">Etsy shop</a> had samples. I have found most facial oils too heavy on my face lately; a tester would be better before the full splurge.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
And how to resist the <b>Orchid Youth Preserving Facial Oil</b>? I mean, the terminology on 'age-battling' has become a lot more creative and friendly lately. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y300/fruitycat/b060b9ea-a9e4-4a56-812b-e48d25830f50.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y300/fruitycat/b060b9ea-a9e4-4a56-812b-e48d25830f50.jpg" height="499" width="640" /></a></div>
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
So two oils. The difference between the Lapis (above) and the Orchid (beneath) is clearly in colour.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Let's take a look at my 1st choice: the<span style="font-size: large;"> <b>Herbivore Lapis Oil Balancing oil</b>:</span></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y300/fruitycat/aaeabec9-d628-4299-97b7-d9d96c76f0b9.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y300/fruitycat/aaeabec9-d628-4299-97b7-d9d96c76f0b9.jpg" height="480" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
It is such a relief to see the blue Tansy represented in the oil: that gorgeous aqua blue hue. I do not exactly need an oil that targets for balanced skin, anyway, blue tansy does <i>so</i> much more than oil regulating. It is a potent anti-inflammatory oil which benefits both restless acne skin as my older, sensitive-prone complexion.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y300/fruitycat/96506a74-52b2-4624-8bb9-bb7b74f8b12f.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y300/fruitycat/96506a74-52b2-4624-8bb9-bb7b74f8b12f.jpg" height="164" width="640" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
The Jasmine Sambac smells amazing in a soft, soothing manner. Nothing too cloying for a sensitive nose. I am also delighted about the lightness or dry feel of the oil: It feels so light and still moisturizes plently. I had experimented with a couple of older favourites this winter that felt too heavy on me. Hence, I skipped the face-oils for a while and my dryer skin was the result of this. This is one of the first oils I can feel it bringing the right amount of moisture to me again!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-size: large;"><b>Herbivore Orchid Youth Preserving Oil</b></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y300/fruitycat/77cd7a98-6337-4934-a8b7-63a8007d47bf.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y300/fruitycat/77cd7a98-6337-4934-a8b7-63a8007d47bf.jpg" height="480" width="640" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
This oil has the familiar hue of lighter yellow that is recognizable. It also feels like a light oil, though it is a tad thicker than the Lapis version. I am deeply in love with the blend of Orchid with the Jasmine, scentsational!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y300/fruitycat/1aa10c9c-3d97-4c45-b1aa-7d31e9e7a97e.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y300/fruitycat/1aa10c9c-3d97-4c45-b1aa-7d31e9e7a97e.jpg" height="160" width="640" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Camillia flower oil is one of my favourite oils around. A good version is also expensive and not so easy to find in the West. The addition of Squalane gives this oil enough lightness for me to tolerate.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y300/fruitycat/AE78B4E1-6BFC-4EBA-B4C6-6646C17C59BB_1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y300/fruitycat/AE78B4E1-6BFC-4EBA-B4C6-6646C17C59BB_1.jpg" height="400" width="400" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
And I really like the roller-ball that comes with the travel size: you can have the benefits of a micro-massage and the delightful-ness of the ingredients. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Right now, I feel I wake up glowier with the Orchid Youth Preserving oil than with the Lapis Oil Regulating one. Both oils feel like they calm down my flaky bits. I have only used both a couple of times so I think I will have to continue a while with one version before I can bring out a good, rounded review. Also, I might like the richer Orchid for this time of year and will probably enjoy the lighter Lapis one when the weather becomes warmer. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Overall, I feel glad to have found not only one, but two oils that feel like a delicate treat on my skin <span style="font-size: x-small;">(instead of a nuisance)</span>. I think I will purchase the larger bottle of the Orchid Youth Preserving oil soon, and during spring I might purchase the Lapis Oil Regulating one.</div>

<b><span style="color: #a64d79;"><span style="font-size: large;"><i>I got myself a new blushie!</i></span></span></b></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Oh, it had been a while since I had gone cheeky and I had kept it fairly affordable. Since I've been hearing such raves about Three Cosmetics, I was absolutely all about trying out their newest range: <b>Cheeky Chic blush</b>:</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">

<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
The semi-spiritual names of the blushes are a bit see-through, but I still loved it enough to cave in my first Three blush buy! </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Three Cosmetics has a minimalistic approach to their packaging:</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y300/fruitycat/6b2b6833-ba82-425b-bdde-55384fc7b699.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y300/fruitycat/6b2b6833-ba82-425b-bdde-55384fc7b699.jpg" height="261" width="400" /> </a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
It is probably the antidote of Jill Stuart princesy and shimmery exterior. But it is also a bit bleak compared to other minimalist Addiction by Kose. Addiction has a microflecked black case and looks slightly more glam.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y300/fruitycat/2991F252-67C9-47A1-8CC1-A38608332399.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y300/fruitycat/2991F252-67C9-47A1-8CC1-A38608332399.jpg" height="640" width="640" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
So yeh, I was slightly underwhelmed by the dark grey plastic case. But I was more curious about Three's inside so let's go on.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
At first glance, it looks like a <b>matte</b> burnished deep rose that could also been mistaken as a light wine colour:</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y300/fruitycat/e066bfae-3528-4f6d-85c7-b937b01e42d8.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y300/fruitycat/e066bfae-3528-4f6d-85c7-b937b01e42d8.jpg" height="584" width="640" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
When looking closer, you can see tiny microshimmers in the pan:</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y300/fruitycat/3D9938DB-0151-49B3-A185-8225F27DA5B8.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y300/fruitycat/3D9938DB-0151-49B3-A185-8225F27DA5B8.jpg" height="640" width="640" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
So now it was the brush-test. How would the pigment 'grab' on the brush?</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I used a <b>Rae Morris Mini Kabuk</b>i: it is not the softest out there (thinking Chikuhodo Z series) but it is also not your scratchy brush. I just wanted the pigment to behave with a mid-quality type of brush instead of 'being spoiled' with the best one out there.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y300/fruitycat/7BF31E68-9FF5-4C79-8052-9975B3287712.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y300/fruitycat/7BF31E68-9FF5-4C79-8052-9975B3287712.jpg" height="640" width="640" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I had to swirl around a couple of times to get even pigmentation on the brush. I first thought it would be my technique. And, perhaps visible, it lacks some blush at some spots.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Swatches (post-holiday skin and yes, I tanned a bit so it's probably NC 35):</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;"><tbody>
<tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y300/fruitycat/93FD7559-F95E-40D1-A31F-55A7EB89DDC9.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img border="0" src="http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y300/fruitycat/93FD7559-F95E-40D1-A31F-55A7EB89DDC9.jpg" height="400" width="400" /></a></td></tr>
<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">Top: 1 application | bottom: 2 applications</td></tr>
</tbody></table>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
First, I love the colour and how it looks on NC 35 skin. I recon it would look fab on lighter skins, giving it a snow-white or icy wind effect.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
The microshimmer is just right from keeping the blush fall too flat. It is still, in my opinion, more of a matte blush.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I am underwhelmed by the way it blended on my skin. I tried it with makeup under it first, but I could not seem to blend in well. I am spoiled with Surratt Artistique blush (see <a href="http://birkinbagbeauty.blogspot.nl/2014/10/the-blush-of-my-dreams-other-newbies-id.html">here</a>) and some other fab high and mid-end versions, but hey! </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I'm supposed to buy one of the top-league blushes out there (review <a href="http://wondegondigo.blogspot.nl/2015/03/three-color-veil-for-cheeks-slightly.html">here</a>, <a href="http://drivelaboutfrivol.blogspot.nl/2013/10/three-19-love-kick-colour-veil-for.html">here</a><span id="goog_1751559241"></span><span id="goog_1751559242"></span> & <a href="http://www.silverkis.com/three-color-veil-for-cheeks-22-23/">here</a>). Which makes me wonder, this is a new formula: did it change from the older Color Veils one?</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Perhaps I gotten a dud, however, I'm not sure how the people who raved about their earlier Color Veils are going to feel about this. I never tried the old one so I cannot compare.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
In general, I still love how this colour is different from the rest of my blush-wardrobe. It is a perfect shade if you want your cheeks to pop a bit more and I am all about cooler hues these days. It does take some work to blend and that is not the type of work I expect from that pricerange. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
So as I said, underwhelmed... </div>

Resolutions often have something to do with #budgetizing or spending less on luxury goods. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Oh, and so we <strike>like</strike> love the little me time when you can pamper with gorgeously scented products that make you glow like nothing else? I mean, there is often the new diet or that epic new workout schedule: can't we get <i>some</i> pampering as a reward?</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I found this little new hairgem that not only <b>peforms</b> at that ridiculously Philip B Russian Amber Conditioning cream; it even <b>smells</b> like it!<br />

<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
When opening the can, there is a pastlike substance that looks like a golden yellow. This is similar as the Philip B. one.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">

</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I have been so generous to highlight the ingredients that I find beneficial to hair-care. </div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<u>Phyto Phytokeratine Extreme Mask</u> ingredients:</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-size: x-small;">Formule INCI: <span style="background-color: #f6b26b;">paeonia officinalis flower extract </span>(Peony flower), cetearyl alcohol
(derived from coconut oil), isodecyl neopentanoate, dicetyldimonium
chloride (dérivé de colza), stearyl alcohol (dérivé d'huile de coco),
isodecyl, neopentanoate, dicetyldimonium chloride, aqua, <span style="background-color: #f6b26b;">pouteria sapota
seed butter</span> (beurre de sapotier), sipalmitoylhetyl hydroxyethylmonium
methosulfate, mauritia flexuosa fruit ouil (<span style="background-color: #e69138;">buriti oil</span>), isopropyl
alcohol, ceteareth-33 (dérivé d'huile de coco), glyceryl stearate,
parfum, ceteareth-20 (dérivé d'huile de coco), polyquaternium-10 (dérivé
de celullose de bois), ricinomidopropyltrimonium methosulfate,
adansonia digitata seed oil (<span style="background-color: #e69138;">baobab oil</span>), panthenol (provitamine
B5), hydrolyzed corn protein, <span style="background-color: #e69138;">hydrolyzed wheat protein </span>(proteines from corn, soja, wheat), tocopherol, phenoxyethanol, citric acid, caprylyl
glycol, tetrasodium edta, maltodextrine (pomme de terre), CI
75470/carmine, methylchloroisothiazoline, methylisothiazolinone.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<u>Peony flower extract</u> is also a prime ingredient in Klorane Peony Shampoo and is claimed to have anti-irritant, soothing and anti-radical properties. It is also often used in Chinese medicine. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<u>Sapote Butter</u> has high lipid replenishing power and is infused with 2 times more omega 6 extract than shea butter.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I really like the pure version of <u>buriti and baobab oil</u> and I have used them for hair.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
The <u>hydrolized wheat proteins</u> (glutenfree people beware) is claimed to "biomimetic properties that replicate natural keratin" so "it works
very precisely to fill in the gaps and rebuild the initial architecture
of hair".</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<u>Philip B. Russian Amber Conditioning Creme</u> Ingredients: </div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Philip B has a concoction of more expensive ingredients. Funnily, I could not find amber oil in this list, but that might be my lack of latin plantnames.<br />
<br />
I find that Phyto Phytokeratine Extreme has more natural ingredients and the chemicals are limited to the ones that can be derived from plants. I also love the addition of soothing Peony flower extract. True, you will seldom use a conditioning mask close to the scalp as it weights down hair too much, but I really loved it in the shampoo version of Phytokeratine Extreme. <span class="regular-price" id="product-price-43065" itemprop="price"> </span>

Philip B Russian Amber conditioning cream retails for a whopping $150 for 178 ml.</span><br />
<span class="regular-price" id="product-price-43065" itemprop="price"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">

<br />
<span style="font-family: "Courier New", Courier, monospace;"> </span>I have been using the sample mask recently, but it really is a heavy duty performer. I love it on my dryer strands and it does feel silky, smooth, shiny and well-conditioned afterwards. For healthy stands I find it a bit too heavy: the hairs around my face felt limp for being oversaturised.<br />
*<br />
I cannot tell too much about the long-term results but I am happy to have found a rather natural alternative on adding keratine to my hair. I still depend on my pricey Alterna Fill & Fix mask for my protein fix, but that is an additional step in restoring my hair. Overal, Phytokeratine Extreme Mask is a well-scented alternative and feels a lot like Philip B Creme conditioner.<br />
<br />
Hence, for budgetizing on beauty there are a variety of options to find a good alternative for your (over)pricey treat. </div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
So now we had the celebration, now it is time to get into #resolution action.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I first want to share something that could be seen as holistic. My <b>Alexis Smart Ganesh</b> formula:</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgkrRClEU3yQaJq-tkfSmnwMU91mjcs72ltawd7AcmFCNoQh5cj8tyumau0Tfr5i40S67awSZ17zOY1emiGo7efqulJcvaaWKw7_K0NpGI-jYvTLkI2ndH7Yi3jmhQs_r-kaBQYB_5Z-yrM/s1600/35974DE1-A8F6-4FBF-9197-EA8A8DB6E947.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="336" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgkrRClEU3yQaJq-tkfSmnwMU91mjcs72ltawd7AcmFCNoQh5cj8tyumau0Tfr5i40S67awSZ17zOY1emiGo7efqulJcvaaWKw7_K0NpGI-jYvTLkI2ndH7Yi3jmhQs_r-kaBQYB_5Z-yrM/s400/35974DE1-A8F6-4FBF-9197-EA8A8DB6E947.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
People who read my blog know that I can be quite sceptical about products. However, I have had several of Alexis Smart formulas for different types of emotional states, and I believe they help... (see <a href="http://birkinbagbeauty.blogspot.nl/2014/04/alexis-smart-beauty-formula-no-8-post.html">here</a> & <a href="http://birkinbagbeauty.blogspot.nl/2015/10/alexis-smart-wholehearted-remedy-sad.html">here</a>).</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
In September last year I started a new study. Age-wise, I am not the most typical student so I had to overcome quite some things. On the other hand, staying at the same place in my life would not have been a good option either. I had been struggeling with so much sadness and a dash of failure before, that I really wanted to achieve something new...especially with my brains.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Things were not easy, starting...But after taking Alexis Smart <a href="http://birkinbagbeauty.blogspot.nl/2015/10/alexis-smart-wholehearted-remedy-sad.html"><i>WholeHearted</i></a> I could cope with some sadness issues of mine. Afterwards, I felt my mind was ready to <b>accomplish</b> new things and to <b>achieve </b>my goals.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Enter: <i><span style="font-size: large;"><b>Ganesh</b></span></i></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgqWWlJGahImUA9eca8Xu1HNhBvjmjCQwW_tBmCxDaMBmjhXuvxGGvZgzbZGGwzVpbY7v6if2ZrkiF1HHGmEiLKsm9so9BipJgOvNzPdheUlDNY9gbJvuETe6OB1WhnGYEPn_JrZY1eedLn/s1600/Screen+Shot+2016-01-01+at+1.41.38+PM.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgqWWlJGahImUA9eca8Xu1HNhBvjmjCQwW_tBmCxDaMBmjhXuvxGGvZgzbZGGwzVpbY7v6if2ZrkiF1HHGmEiLKsm9so9BipJgOvNzPdheUlDNY9gbJvuETe6OB1WhnGYEPn_JrZY1eedLn/s1600/Screen+Shot+2016-01-01+at+1.41.38+PM.png" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-size: large;"><b> </b></span>I have been taking the drops for over a month, and I am mid-bottle now. In that time, I have been able to write four hefty essays of a high academic level in one week. <i><span style="font-size: x-small;">(Yeh, blame our professors for giving the students such short notice...)</span></i>. In September, I could hardly write one Essay of 1000 words in two weeks, and in December I was able to write four.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Ofcourse, getting accustomed to University is not merely based on flower remedies. However, I feel that these drops give me a better hold of how to achieve my goals without letting my doubts get in the way. Ofcourse, doubts have a healthy element, as long as they are reasonable and able to negotiate upon.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Alexis Smart has various formulas based on Focus. On her <a href="http://alexissmart.com/formulas/ganesh#"><u>website</u></a> she has a guide of how to pick the best one for you. Otherwise, you can email her for a more personal advise.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
The good thing is that <a href="http://www.selfridges.com/GB/en/cat/alexis-smart-flower-remedies-ganesh-flower-remedy-30ml_475-3004460-ALEXIS6/">Selfridges in Europe </a>is selling them too. They have free shipping from £50 right now (normally £15) so that might be interesting for picking up some other goodies like this Suqqu Christmas set (on sale)</div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
<br />
And my apologies for letting my used-ups on a wrinkled French Terry beach cloth...I just miss my little summertime experience at the <b>Côte d'Azur </b>where I bought this towel<b>. </b>I thought it looked more authentic if they'd be 'sunbathing' on a unperfect cloth than a neat one ;). Or, is it almost time for Champagne???<br />
<br />
I could only call this batch <b>Random:</b></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<b><a href="http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y300/fruitycat/A4C05C0D-1082-4A90-B07A-973FF356335E.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y300/fruitycat/A4C05C0D-1082-4A90-B07A-973FF356335E.jpg" height="640" width="640" /></a></b></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<b> </b></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
</div>
<ul style="text-align: center;">
<li><u><b>Scharzkopf</b></u> <b>Oil Miracle Barbary Fig Oil Mask</b>: A pasty mask that smells like a chemical fruit. It conditions but it coats my hair too much: too chemical.</li>
<li> </li>
<li><b><u>Syoss</u> Super Defense Color Exilir Hairserum</b>: I still has this chemical serum in my closet. I haven't used it up because I feel it does not add anything beneficial to my hair.</li>
<li> </li>
<li><b><u>Alexis Smart</u> Wholehearted formula: </b>I felt down this autumn. Wholehearted somehow felt like giving me a bit of emotional hold on things you cannot always control. Love!</li>
<li> </li>
<li>(obscured) <b><u>Tatcha</u> cleansing oil</b>- travel size: I don't use oil cleansers that often as I do not wear heavy makeup oftenly. But if my skin needs more cleansing action, it is quite lovely.</li>
<li> </li>
<li>(also sunblinded) <b><u>Green People</u> Age Defy+ Line Eraser Lip & Eye Serum:</b> This serum is liquidly and slightly green tinged. It is packed with all types of organic powerhouse anti-aging ingredients and it's perfectly thin for summertime eyecare. </li>
<li> </li>
<li><b>Horsetail Tinctum drops</b> from Aromatic.co.uk: This is supposed to grow your hair if taken internally, or add it to your shampoo. I could not tell it really worked when using it. </li>
<li> </li>
<li><b><u>Akoma</u> Acai Berry Oil</b>: Sometimes I prefer a single or a DIY-mix of oils that get a good rating (or that I loved in a retailer concoction brand). Acai Oil is claimed to have strong antioxidant properties and I really loved this single oil as it was thin, easily absorbant, and I woke up with good skin. REPURCHASE.</li>
<li> </li>
<li><b><u>Deciem Hand Chemistry</u> Intense Youth Complex: </b>Lookfantastic.com had a 3=2 deal and this was my 3rd to accompany my Fountain supplements. I like it, but it smells so <i>darn</i> chemical that I prefer a handcream like Neom over it.</li>
<li> </li>
<li><u><b>Osmia</b></u><b> Spot Treatment: </b>It contains anti-acne powerhouse Cajeput, also in Odacite's anti pimple blend. I like it, but my spots still take a while to dissapear. I bought some pure Cajeput oil for occasional spots but I think I'll repurchase this blend as it is affordable and rollerhandy.</li>
</ul>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y300/fruitycat/16D59EC5-AC00-4E7D-812A-16D3DE3F3396.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y300/fruitycat/16D59EC5-AC00-4E7D-812A-16D3DE3F3396.jpg" height="640" width="640" /></a></div>
<ul style="text-align: center;">
<li> <b><u>Fountain</u> liquid </b>supplements in<b> The Beauty Monecule and the Happy Monecule</b>: Deciem's liquid formulas are based on <span class="description">Hyaluronic</span> acid, and these are fab skinplumpers. The additives for beauty is <span class="description">Resveratrol aand for happy it's </span><span class="description">GABA carrot complex. My skin has been plumping up since using these babies. They are pricy but they work better than pill-form </span><span class="description">Hyaluronic acid.</span></li>
<li><span class="description"> </span></li>
<li><span class="description"><b><u>Liberty</u> Handwash with Chamomille & Lavendel: </b>Soooo lovely, it smells like the real chamomile/lavendel and it cleanses gently & effective.</span></li>
<li><span class="description"> </span></li>
<li><span class="description"><b><u>Lotus Wei</u> Infinitive Love Spray: </b>It functions as a fraganced water that should make you more open and loving to other people, and yourself. Honestly, I loved the fresh rose fragance, but when I was moody I sure did not feel it helped me. </span></li>
<li><span class="description"> </span></li>
<li><span class="description"><b><u>Revitalash</u> Eyegrowth Serum: </b>I get longer lashes when I use them. When I stop, my lashes get shorter. I do not stop (yet)...</span></li>
</ul>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span class="description"></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y300/fruitycat/F9F840D6-D17C-4890-993B-14D3B941BD44.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y300/fruitycat/F9F840D6-D17C-4890-993B-14D3B941BD44.jpg" height="640" width="640" /></a></div>
<ul style="text-align: center;">
<li><span class="description"></span><b><u>Sunwarrior</u> Immune Shild with Natural Fulvic Acid: </b>Initially, I bought it as an affordable alternative to Phylia [de M] $$$ version. It should aid hairgrowth, and this one claims it wards off diseases like flu. I have not have a cold/flu and I have been commuting in trains this autumn with a lot of snotty/coughing people. Bonus.</li>
<li> </li>
<li><b>Cod Liver Omega 3 Oil: </b>First Krill was the best Omega oil ever, now it is Cod liver oil. Oh well, this one is easier to find and I think it keeps my skin/bones more supple.</li>
<li> </li>
<li>My other 2 <b><u>Fountain</u> Monecules </b>in <b>The Geek Monecule & Energy</b>: I have been studying since fall and my brain gotten sharper after using up the bottle. That could be the placebo effect or just training the brain, but who knows? Energy contains B12 and a liquid formula works more effective than a pill-form.</li>
</ul>
<div style="text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y300/fruitycat/F8C56F85-8C66-4338-8EDC-73BA92F0A9F2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y300/fruitycat/F8C56F85-8C66-4338-8EDC-73BA92F0A9F2.jpg" height="640" width="640" /></a></div>
<ul style="text-align: center;">
<li><b><u>AS.AP </u>#6 (Coffee + Orange): </b>This is a lovely organic lipbalm that hydrates lips without making it dependant on its contents (like chemicals can). I like it.</li>
<li> </li>
<li><b><u>Eve Lom </u>Mineral Powder Foundation in 3 Buff</b>: This formula is gorgeous, though it needs a primer on the parts where pores are slightly large. 3 Buff was a bit too warm for me, colourwise, but 4 Petal finally hits the cooler skintone spot! So already repurchased in 4.</li>
<li><b><u>Maybeline</u> Lash Sensational Waterproof: </b>Oh my, I'm such a mascara snob but this drugstore one won me over. Perfect for swimming too. Repurchased.</li>
<li><b><u>L'oreal</u> Nude Magique</b> <b>Eau de Teint</b>: I threw away a full bottle because it smells like chemical bonzanza. My skin is not happy afterwards either. Similar for the <b>Kiki 3D Lifting foundation.</b></li>
<li><b> </b></li>
<li><b><u>Lumiere</u> Pearlfection powder sand:</b> This is a pretty perfect afterpowder to make pores smaller and skin delightfully luminous. Ohh, such a shame this company closed in 2014...</li>
</ul>
<div style="text-align: center;">
That has been an ample list of used ups. I have found some new favourites, kept faithful to my trusted ones, and started to abandon the ones that do not work for me...</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
So for me to wish you guys a....</div>

<ul style="text-align: center;">
<li><b><u>Sunday Riley </u>Good Genes</b>: I personally found this exfoliating treatment too strong for my sensitive skin. I used it for hands, and they gotten better texture. However, that's a bit too expensive for hands for repurchase.</li>
<li> </li>
<li><u><b>Acorelle </b></u><b>Skin Gel Sunblock SPF</b><b> 30:</b> This oil-in-gel felt too greasy on my skin.</li>
<li> </li>
<li><u><b>Olivine</b></u><b> Love + Roses Tonic:</b> I really liked the freshness of this product and the fact it is made from organically grown roses. The glass bottle will be reused to decant other toners.</li>
<li> </li>
<li><u><b>Grown Alchemist </b></u><span class="st"><b>Antioxidant+3 <i>Detox Serum</i></b>: I was looking for a detoxing serum. It feels like a Essence, very watery. I think it helps a bit: the harder work is detoxing from the inside...</span></li>

Since Autumn has finally set its windy foot in Holland, bathing seems to be the equivalent of a summer's evening lounging at a sweet terasse.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjwTKJkF7JoZ4H4SG68Vna8rEeT2XOTknmESn5K-72q9Je5UDBRJ6t7MNhVRK_znellGu95bcjPJOItQS6j-O2xsD-8RnNy2uFkHSgFk2nX_wsel3UETOH6gjIEsTMocFu9sXdMrFDljyP-/s1600/CC0A8B0F-F7AE-4752-8CCD-6DF17A6CC441.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="590" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjwTKJkF7JoZ4H4SG68Vna8rEeT2XOTknmESn5K-72q9Je5UDBRJ6t7MNhVRK_znellGu95bcjPJOItQS6j-O2xsD-8RnNy2uFkHSgFk2nX_wsel3UETOH6gjIEsTMocFu9sXdMrFDljyP-/s640/CC0A8B0F-F7AE-4752-8CCD-6DF17A6CC441.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br />
And because leaves are falling aplenty outside, I picked up some leaves for the inside as well.<br />
<br />
<i>For the bath, that is... </i></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
There are various ways of bathing ranging from frothy bubbles, moisturizing oils and detoxifying salts. This time I went for the real sea-perience and got some seaweed from <b>Mungo Murphy's</b>.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y300/fruitycat/2FC0F281-E1F0-4000-A837-690519491EB9.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y300/fruitycat/2FC0F281-E1F0-4000-A837-690519491EB9.jpg" height="640" style="cursor: move;" width="640" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
So why seaweed? Why not? It is told to be brimming with all types of rejuvenating goodies, and it also a bliss for eczematic skin and other minor skin-irritations:</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<i>"Seaweed baths have been used for many, many years to treat skin
imperfections, reduce the appearance of cellulite, improve blood
circulation, detoxify the body, soften stiff muscles, improve thyroid
health and to alleviate the symptoms of acne, psoriasis and eczema." </i></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
This particular seaweed is from the Irish place Connemara. I googled it, and they have a total spa-experience around this place (see tripadvisor <a href="http://www.tripadvisor.com/Attraction_Review-g186607-d2307260-Reviews-Connemara_Seaweed_Baths-County_Galway_Western_Ireland.html"><u>here</u></a>)</div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Though this woman is having a lovely view on a mysterious lake, I also enjoyed my home experience with the windy, leafy view.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Though beneficial, not everybody should be getting into these leaves:</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y300/fruitycat/7DF65DCA-5A49-4BF2-9693-70E450655C37.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y300/fruitycat/7DF65DCA-5A49-4BF2-9693-70E450655C37.jpg" height="640" width="638" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Which brings me to the next thing: it might not be everybody's cup of <strike>tea</strike> bathing. The traces of shellfish described above, it is slightly apparent in the fragance. Or yes, I do feel like a part of a misa soup when bathing! </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y300/fruitycat/6523C939-3A37-4CC1-8AAE-CB45CDEDAB90.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y300/fruitycat/6523C939-3A37-4CC1-8AAE-CB45CDEDAB90.jpg" height="640" width="640" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
The after-effect took a while, like most beneficial baths. You get slightly tired first, but my energy level was a lot higher the next morning.
My skin felt softer and my minor irritations had been diminished.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I paid £3.90 for a single bag (<a href="https://www.lovelula.com/products/mungo-murphys-seaweed-co-single-sea-bag"><u>here</u></a>): it is not cheap but if you can still remember summer, a cocktail on that terasse would set you back the same amount of cash. And this is such a healthy and spa-like option for autumn and the upcoming winter. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-size: large;"><i>So what different beauty rituals do you go for when the season changes?</i></span></div>

<i><span style="font-size: large;"><span style="background-color: #ead1dc;">There is something wonderfully old-school about a good piece of clean soap.</span> </span></i></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Nowadays it does not have to be that<i> all-removing</i> type like our mums use to treasure. We can have both worlds of gentle care and practical hold. And how convenient is something non-liquidy for travel? </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEidlmstUPp6FGY6-nFZMEH6fsyuS_8tHZ19sJ2V6OOaKRT4dogQ77TWMSB-sGQOvWL43JPvcOfXdwpbWh7TNDpp82z7ybkrooWiorXWrZ-c4oTYCRojgEltDmSsj2CzH_Ry9oNcznWnnCAv/s1600/D4998744-FF00-427B-A27B-F38BAFEE68E6_1.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEidlmstUPp6FGY6-nFZMEH6fsyuS_8tHZ19sJ2V6OOaKRT4dogQ77TWMSB-sGQOvWL43JPvcOfXdwpbWh7TNDpp82z7ybkrooWiorXWrZ-c4oTYCRojgEltDmSsj2CzH_Ry9oNcznWnnCAv/s640/D4998744-FF00-427B-A27B-F38BAFEE68E6_1.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I have already been testing some gorgeous Osmea Beauty soaps lately. But for shipping reasons, I wanted to look closer and more European. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Yeh, I know! I should buy locally Dutch at the rural market but somehow the soap-making qualities have not been as esthetically pleasing as <a href="https://www.etsy.com/shop/naomipurebeauty"><b>Naomi Pure Beauty</b></a>. And carbon offset from Ireland is not as bad as US right? And for some reason I find the air more pure in Ireland than my own little (crowded/polluted) country so there you go<b>...</b></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-size: large;"><b>1. Black Magic</b></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y300/fruitycat/91CDBA93-6D34-404D-A62B-ABECB5C00379_1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y300/fruitycat/91CDBA93-6D34-404D-A62B-ABECB5C00379_1.jpg" height="640" width="640" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<b> </b>My first choice is not based on some eerie need for potential <i>voodooooooo</i>; I was simply looking for something with<b> active charcoal</b> after seeing it featured as "wonderproduct" on <i>far far</i> away US <a href="http://osmiaorganics.com/products/oh-so-detox-soap">Osmeabeauty</a> site. Claimed as healing for eczema and congested skin, I wanted to give the active charcoal a shot.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="https://www.etsy.com/listing/238374647/acne-remedy-reduce-blemishes-skin?ref=shop_home_active_1"><b>Naomi Pure Beauty</b></a> is even more positive about Black Magic with Activated Charcoal as it can be a "Acne Remedy, Reduce Blemishes, Skin Perfection, Clean Skin, Detoxify, Purify". </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I have been using it a couple of times, and it is a strong soap. With strong I mean that it has the properties to make your skin wonderfully clean like one of those hamman experiences. I soaped myself in and got the exfoliating body brush to accompany it. Afterwards, my skin became even more clean than the grainy sugar/salt scrubs I use frequently.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
The water will mix in greyish when you use it. That seems like proof that the charcoal is not just a gimmic. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
It is not the type of soap I would use every day, due to overexfoliating. However, how delightfully detoxifying this one is when using one or two times a week.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-size: large;"><b>2. Seaweed Soap</b></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y300/fruitycat/CFC8B1B8-07C4-4D81-B5CF-A2E743BF20A6.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y300/fruitycat/CFC8B1B8-07C4-4D81-B5CF-A2E743BF20A6.jpg" height="640" width="640" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-size: large;"><span style="font-size: small;">I picked up my second soap on the same account I frequently pick up a anti-cellulite lotion: <b>Slimming</b>! I am normal sized but the thighs are always demanding. Winter time often brings in the warming chocolaty drinks, <i>mmmmm</i>, so slathering them in seaweed soap makes me think that they can stay in their trusted pair of skinny jeans.</span></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-size: large;"><span style="font-size: small;">I have only used it once, and it smells like a mix of soap and something leafy. I'm not a seaweed expert but I guess that is probably it. The embedded seaweed bits function as a exfoliating tool so you actually stimulate the so-called problem area twice.</span></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-size: large;"><span style="font-size: small;"><b><span style="font-size: large;">3. Cafe Mocha</span></b></span></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y300/fruitycat/458B305B-4D5D-4DA7-BDE0-F5AB1A634389.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y300/fruitycat/458B305B-4D5D-4DA7-BDE0-F5AB1A634389.jpg" height="640" width="640" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-size: large;"><span style="font-size: small;"><b><span style="font-size: large;"> </span></b> </span><b> </b></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<b> </b>I just bought this soap for scentual pleasure. Good for me: no agenda! Ok, getting clean ofcourse or I could just sniff the coffee I brewed earlier, right?</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
It smells nice and coffee-ish but it could be slightly stronger. Perhaps I have to use it some more times to let the fragance cure a bit more.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-size: large;"><b>4. Coconut Soap</b></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y300/fruitycat/1AAADC89-DA4F-4F53-86EE-7CD8709FEA15.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y300/fruitycat/1AAADC89-DA4F-4F53-86EE-7CD8709FEA15.jpg" height="640" width="640" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-size: large;"><b> </b><span style="font-size: small;">The coconut soap is marketed as a shampoo soap. My hairstory is extremely difficult: My damaged hair only tolerates Alterna Caviar Repair X line lately so I did not expect miracles from this one.</span></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-size: large;"><span style="font-size: small;">That said, I tried it and it is a pure way of washing hairs. My hair did not look too bad afterwards, but I still need the Alterna Caviar Repair X to make it look like it has not been traumatised (it has). So I like it as a more neutral soap for the body.</span></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-size: large;"><span style="font-size: small;"> * </span></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Overall, I really like these soaps and the price has been fantastic for the quality thinking it is about 3.50 per soap. The labels looks instagram-worthy and that is important these days.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">

<span style="font-size: large;"><i>That is soooo 8 years ago....</i></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Or, for bloggers like myself who have been buying and liking Asian skincare for a longer time now...</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgGdjdZPDCsnJbcYOyKUoVYz4RP3TRxylxmJAQs1MduysANcqi0X_FQJTosJ3zyMaaueGiAXbf4nnueEIZzZd7jhyphenhyphenoQGlCfdHwYpw8sFWZxhFw2jQ5RIybA7al52FVrw31JQsAEhyPz1YlC/s1600/D36EAE9E-662A-483A-B602-4744867CC19E.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgGdjdZPDCsnJbcYOyKUoVYz4RP3TRxylxmJAQs1MduysANcqi0X_FQJTosJ3zyMaaueGiAXbf4nnueEIZzZd7jhyphenhyphenoQGlCfdHwYpw8sFWZxhFw2jQ5RIybA7al52FVrw31JQsAEhyPz1YlC/s400/D36EAE9E-662A-483A-B602-4744867CC19E.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I still bought this skincare set from Sephora </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
a. there have been new innovations and brands </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
b. I liked it 8 years ago </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
c. cute, travel size skincare!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">

<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Dr. Jart + has been one of my frequent <a href="http://birkinbagbeauty.blogspot.nl/search/label/gmarket">gmarket hauls</a>. Erborian has been available in our perfume/makeup stores and I tried a Belif sample too.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I have been most interested in the SK-II facial treatment Essence:</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y300/fruitycat/IMG_0072.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y300/fruitycat/IMG_0072.jpg" height="480" width="640" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I like Asian skincare trending, but I also feel like I miss the fact that it is not a niche anymore. There is something about sampling up your goods and <a href="http://birkinbagbeauty.blogspot.nl/search/label/gmarket">trying to translate Korean</a>:</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;"><tbody>

<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
However, I guess the people in Asia probably feel more that nothing is new about it.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<b><i><span style="font-family: "Helvetica Neue",Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">So how do you feel about Asian skincare trending?</span></i></b></div>

I talk a lot about beauty, duh...<i>beautyblogger</i>. But if we go to "<i>Happiest Girls are the Pretties</i>t" (Audrey Hepburn), I have been lacking lately on the field of happiness.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<h3 style="text-align: center;">
Enter: <b>Alexis Smart <i>Wholehearted</i> Remedy</b></h3>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiHJMsxrd2hyphenhyphen5z7Srr3HmKMGOkbMYhXPKc11L985AYxKTHYQms_lbBG6xB8LHXmYBqb3QEK1ahBor0UGQDXbEaF1FDamO_EEG5JIYRUBwXz07vfe9WEyy1qeaytRvMm-tjMDJeHEiHC_BO7/s1600/IMG_0064_1.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiHJMsxrd2hyphenhyphen5z7Srr3HmKMGOkbMYhXPKc11L985AYxKTHYQms_lbBG6xB8LHXmYBqb3QEK1ahBor0UGQDXbEaF1FDamO_EEG5JIYRUBwXz07vfe9WEyy1qeaytRvMm-tjMDJeHEiHC_BO7/s640/IMG_0064_1.JPG" width="542" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I have been trying, and liking, Alexis Smart Beauty Formula no. 8 before (<a href="http://birkinbagbeauty.blogspot.nl/2014/04/alexis-smart-beauty-formula-no-8-post.html">here</a>). This time, I would go beyond the superfical to soothe my sadness.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhCZZzOB2dnMmFsdUC7gCYLczPcZajltUZIjQBc1b9exb1kl1-MYU9jxmFbYR10JlvrLGnBKZWhRs36P6E-3s1ocOZEVZJfsPHsB946qoW73mbP18OeZlkpom_Y3Uw0dcE7VZGkmWSWJ4Yr/s1600/Screen+Shot+2015-10-21+at+9.12.25+AM.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="231" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhCZZzOB2dnMmFsdUC7gCYLczPcZajltUZIjQBc1b9exb1kl1-MYU9jxmFbYR10JlvrLGnBKZWhRs36P6E-3s1ocOZEVZJfsPHsB946qoW73mbP18OeZlkpom_Y3Uw0dcE7VZGkmWSWJ4Yr/s400/Screen+Shot+2015-10-21+at+9.12.25+AM.png" width="400" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
So why the sadness? That is a very long story but to make it less complicated and more beauty related: necessary hairtrims. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
The longer story: A couple of years ago I have lost my mother to cancer. I really held on to the hair that she touched and caressed for the last time. My hair was healthy and was able to grow a lot. My longest length was towards my booty.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Over the last 3 years I have been doing regular trims, with a sad heart every time as I would loose more of my '<i>mother's touched hair</i>'. Eventually, I probably trimmed all of this hair. But symbolically, I felt more connected to my mother for still having long hair.<br />
</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Then I made it blonder, so I looked more like my mother used to do. Something soothing about having the pale locks like my mother used to have. But this did not do the quality of my hair any favours either...</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
</div>
<table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;"><tbody>
<tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y300/fruitycat/IMG_0066.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img border="0" src="http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y300/fruitycat/IMG_0066.jpg" height="480" width="640" /></a></td></tr>
<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">the ingredients to soothe a Sad Bunny? Perhaps...</td></tr>
</tbody></table>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<i>So people who say "it's just hair"...It often never is "just" for a woman.</i></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Well, you know my blog and if you find my tag '<a href="http://birkinbagbeauty.blogspot.nl/search/label/hair"><b>Hair</b></a>' you will find all types of products I tried to keep it healthy.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
But my sadness goes further that this too, but it is a large part of it.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
So I needed a Fairy Godmother or such:</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y300/fruitycat/11146AE8-EA15-4EB5-B802-BB372D7458D0.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y300/fruitycat/11146AE8-EA15-4EB5-B802-BB372D7458D0.jpg" height="400" width="400" /></a> </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-size: large;"><b>USING Alexis Smart <i>Wholehearted:</i></b></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<i>Wholehearted</i> works like most flower remedies: take a couple of drops a day under the tongue. In <i>Wholehearted</i>'s care: four times. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;"><tbody>
<tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y300/fruitycat/IMG_0069.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img border="0" src="http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y300/fruitycat/IMG_0069.jpg" height="580" width="640" /></a></td></tr>
<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">Four drops a day keeps the sadness away (?)<b><br /></b></td></tr>
</tbody></table>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-size: large;"><b>Effect:</b></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Since I have been going to University again, I had to go by train. It was emotionally so exhausting seeing various women with really long hair that sometimes I started crying for the whole train-ride. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
What a wonderful impression, right, when you still have to listen and look representative during lectures.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<b> </b></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<b>After a month</b> I feel I can cope a bit better. Somehow my inner voice seems to <b>filter things a bit better</b> and things that were absolutely awful and intolerable can still feel bad, but I can keep <b>a better control</b> over the crying and other <b>sadness-related emotions</b>.<br />
</div>
<table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;"><tbody>
<tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEif4HvlBcaBbExzR6gw2o3Nz3MDpxa5Ij0fhhmVmGNkphSIvMGRwyvPBxpYLLAYoQrq4KZdGJcfdOpTBeDrtLDb_krd6bK929UKx-bEpNTLPgV3vDh82QClQjJSiFGSJKrSrxLPWaSsVW2B/s1600/E20BF6DA-9173-4AAF-AF7F-7135D646A83A.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEif4HvlBcaBbExzR6gw2o3Nz3MDpxa5Ij0fhhmVmGNkphSIvMGRwyvPBxpYLLAYoQrq4KZdGJcfdOpTBeDrtLDb_krd6bK929UKx-bEpNTLPgV3vDh82QClQjJSiFGSJKrSrxLPWaSsVW2B/s400/E20BF6DA-9173-4AAF-AF7F-7135D646A83A.JPG" width="400" /></a></td></tr>
<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">not quite yet, but soonish...</td></tr>
</tbody></table>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
That does not mean I am there yet. I still need something more than drops: the occasional empathetic talk or a bit of sympathy. I could use a nice hairdresser too, but I guess that would be a case of intuition, some good references and a bit of <i>Fairy Bunny luck</i>.</div>

So there's been this pigment spot I got last year... </div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjfFrvYuDVIknguMqCSCTIwmjS6M4Ca3QTLatrQcgz2XLjR4gO5u4umBbyHb3TVLSE-ASF6ngCCOJOC0Ug4zWQYsIdyypplpc9kLnLKNVaXQPtFQy9LpiOw_hU8Kn6Cq2SMQg-fsHVQ04H3/s1600/7E9FC2C8-198A-4D3A-9AD2-05247AD96712.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="325" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjfFrvYuDVIknguMqCSCTIwmjS6M4Ca3QTLatrQcgz2XLjR4gO5u4umBbyHb3TVLSE-ASF6ngCCOJOC0Ug4zWQYsIdyypplpc9kLnLKNVaXQPtFQy9LpiOw_hU8Kn6Cq2SMQg-fsHVQ04H3/s400/7E9FC2C8-198A-4D3A-9AD2-05247AD96712.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
The thing about pigment spots is that they are easy to contract, but super-difficult to get rid of. Somewhat like a STD? And the continious functioning and <i>re- re- re-</i> applying sunblock as the contraceptive? Or, abstain from the sun if you want to be safest!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Yes, I already had a couple of IPL laser session but some pigment is still there. I have brought in four of these creams that make a difference. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y300/fruitycat/44BA1A07-1A69-46CE-B911-5D87553684F1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y300/fruitycat/44BA1A07-1A69-46CE-B911-5D87553684F1.jpg" height="400" width="400" /> </a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<h3 style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-size: large;"><b>Arcona Brightening Drops</b>: </span></h3>
<h3 style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-size: large;"> </span></h3>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Arcona is classified as <b>natural </b>but with a <b>Cosmeceutical </b>approach. This is the most liquidy of the four. It feels like a essence or toner that feels slightly zingy when applied. I apply it topically on the spot itself, as all over.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<i>Ingredients</i>:</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Agua (Distilled Water), Hamamelis Virginiana (Witch Hazel)
Extract, Azelaic Acid, Gallic Acid, Lactic Acid, Ascorbic Acid (Vitamin
C) Ester, Kojic Acid, Arbutin, Red Raspberry (Rubus idaeus) Extract,
Bilberry Extract, Grapefruit (Citrus Grandis) Seed Extract. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
----</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
The main focus is on exfoliation by the various acids with a natural background. Arbutin, Vitamin C and Bilberry are ingredients that target hyperpigmentation</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<h3>
<span style="font-size: large;">Dermaceutics <i>Laboratoire</i> Mela Cream:</span></h3>
<h3>
<span style="font-size: large;"> </span></h3>
I got this from a dermalogist who was probably too busy to give me IPL and adviced me this cream instead<span style="font-size: x-small;"><i> (I know, how weird, right?)</i></span>. It packs a lot of active ingredients that target lightening, like:<br />
<span style="font-size: small;">Kojic, Salicylic, Phytic and Mandelic acids, Arbutin, Niacinamide, Retinol and Licorice Extract.</span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-size: small;">It does feel like a real retinol treatment that you have to build up the intensity over time. I alternate it with Arcona brightening drops and use it in the evening about twice a week.</span><br />
<br />
<h3>
<span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-size: large;">Andalou <i>Tumeric & C</i> Enlightening Serum</span></span></h3>
<h3>
<span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-size: large;"> </span></span></h3>
<span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-size: large;"><span style="font-size: small;">I finally went back to my early thirties habit of <b>Vitamin C</b>!</span> <span style="font-size: small;">I actually feel this one is the most effective of the four in terms of making my skin more glowy. I've been using it for two weeks now (morning) and since then my skin gotten brighter. Best thing, unlike the two above: this one does not sting and feels even calming.</span></span></span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-size: large;"><span style="font-size: small;"><i>Ingredients</i>:</span></span></span><br />
<span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-size: large;"><span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-size: x-small;">Aloe Barbadensis Juice*, Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Oil*, Vegetable
Glycerin, Cyamopsis Tetragonolobus (Guar) Gum*, Fruit Stem Cells (Malus
Domestsica, Solar Vitis) and BioActive 8 Berry Complex*, Curcuma Longa
(Turmeric) Extract*, Magnesium Ascorbyl Phosphate (Vitamin C),
Tocopherol (Vitamin E), Lauric Acid, Cetearyl Alcohol, Hyaluronic Acid,
Vitis Vinifera (Grape Seed) Polyphenols, Borago Officinalis (Borage) and
Rosa Canina (Rosehip) Oils*, Glyceryl Monolaurate, Linum Usitatissimum
(Flax), Oenothera Biennis (Evening Primrose) and Hippophae Rhamnoides
(Sea Buckthorn) Oils*, Camellia Sinensis (White Tea) Extract*^,
Laminaria Digitata (Kelp) Extract, Allantoin, Cetyl Alcohol, Glyceryl
Stearate, Phenethyl Alcohol, Ethylhexylglycerin, Citrus Aurantium Dulcis
(Orange) Oil*
</span></span></span></span><br />
<span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-size: large;"><span style="font-size: small;"><br /></span></span></span>
<span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-size: large;"><span style="font-size: small;">Wholey Cow <i><span style="font-size: x-small;">(must be the Tumeric)</span></i><span style="font-size: x-small;"><span style="font-size: small;">, there is a buckload of effective ingredients in there. I already take tumeric as a morning drink so I believe in its clarifying properties. I could rave a while but look at makeupalley.com who loves it too (<a href="http://www.makeupalley.com/product/showreview.asp/ItemId=173885/Turmeric-+-C-Enlighten-Serum-/Andalou-Naturals/Treatments-%28Face%29">here</a>).</span></span></span></span></span><br />
<span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-size: large;"><span style="font-size: small;"> </span></span> </span><br />
<h3>
<span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-size: large;">Jurlique Purely Bright Night Moisturizer</span></span></h3>
<h3>
<span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-size: large;"> </span></span></h3>
<span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-size: large;"><span style="font-size: small;">One of my mid-thirties brighteners I come back to every time. It takes a month or two but I feel it has an effect on me.</span></span></span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-size: large;"><span style="font-size: small;"><i>Ingredients:</i></span></span></span><br />
<span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-size: large;"><span style="font-size: small;"><i>Aqua (Water), Glycerin, Heptyl Undecylenate, Helianthus Annuus
(Sunflower) Seed Oil, Cetearyl Alcohol, Glyceryl Stearate Citrate,
Citrus Unshiu Peel Extract, SD Alcohol 40-A (Alcohol Denat.), Carthamus
Tinctorius (Safflower) Seed Oil, Ascorbyl Glucoside, Potassium Cetyl
Phosphate, Hydrogenated Palm Glycerides, Squalane, Biosaccharide Gum-1,
Althaea Officinalis (Marshmallow) Root Extract, Chamomilla Recutita
(Matricaria) Flower Extract, Rosa Gallica Flower Extract, Glycyrrhiza
Glabra (Licorice) Root Extract, Viola Odorata (Sweet Violet) Extract,
Viola Tricolor (Pansy) Extract, Sambucus Nigra (Black Elder) Flower
Extract, Calendula Officinalis Flower Extract, Hamamelis Virginiana
(Witch Hazel) Extract, Prunella Vulgaris Leaf Extract, Terminalia
Ferdinandiana (Kakadu Plum) Fruit Extract, Anogeissus Leiocarpus Bark
Extract, Cichorium Intybus (Chicory) Root Extract, Fragrance (Parfum*),
Tocopherol, Silica, Sodium Hyaluronate, Tetrahydrodiferuloylmethane,
Totarol, Phenoxyethanol, Ethylhexylglycerin, Limonene*, Linalool*,
Citronellol*, Geraniol*, Eugenol*, Benzyl Benzoate*, Isoeugenol*.<br /> </i> </span></span></span><br />
<span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-size: large;"><span style="font-size: small;">Even a longer list. I am most enthousiastic about the liquorice compound in this one. It it not a completely natural brand but I seem to tolerate the rest of the ingredients as well. It smells somewhat soothing like a light babypowder.</span></span></span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-size: large;"><span style="font-size: small;">Up close, <i>serum-y</i>: </span></span></span><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y300/fruitycat/C947E77B-E975-46CB-B26D-121DFD54874D.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y300/fruitycat/C947E77B-E975-46CB-B26D-121DFD54874D.jpg" height="320" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
<span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-size: large;"><span style="font-size: small;"><b>Arcona </b>has the most liquidy texture, <b>Dermaceutic</b> is your typical Retinol with a kick and slightly more lotion-y. <b>Andalou</b> is a light daycream and <b>Jurlique</b> is also quite light for a nightcream. </span></span></span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-size: large;"><span style="font-size: small;"> Obviously, I use all four for a different reason. The ingredients of each are different but still came out as effective in (some) studies. Ok Ok, I am sceptical enough not to believe "<i>studies say</i>"-rhetorics but when various outcomes are good, I'm willing to try. </span></span></span><br />
<span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-size: large;"><span style="font-size: small;"></span><span style="font-size: small;">My skin is rather sensitive but I can tolerate most of them at the time being. I hope I can still brighten the *&^ out of that spot before winter time. </span></span></span><br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhJluoiffOPwR13FDrmoiOwHkuhzg3yT5Yt9S_CCzaCIpHSkLB9ufKDR_lkS5Ftb2pOVXFD8cfWyCrRMgtyBJ5ryLpi1JOiS8nUuK6peT8egqHhSLGgk9VeDqpGSwGykbH_w1nAyR2Z_FaH/s1600/winter+snow+seals+animals.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="434" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhJluoiffOPwR13FDrmoiOwHkuhzg3yT5Yt9S_CCzaCIpHSkLB9ufKDR_lkS5Ftb2pOVXFD8cfWyCrRMgtyBJ5ryLpi1JOiS8nUuK6peT8egqHhSLGgk9VeDqpGSwGykbH_w1nAyR2Z_FaH/s640/winter+snow+seals+animals.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
<span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-size: large;"><span style="font-size: small;">Then it will be time to balm up again in all types of soothing concoctions....</span></span></span><br />

<span style="font-size: large;"><i>Sometimes it's just trial & <strike>error</strike> succes...</i></span></h4>
<h4 style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-size: large;"><i> </i></span> </h4>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Beauty stuff ain't easy! How informed we can get by the internet & the upteenth flow or reviews and tutorial, you never know how it will work on <b><i>you </i></b>unless you try.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhmPv-aLtBGeK22sAESnN9qLerDVKBS5iZ-n_Y71w21DCEwZImwYkTgUVWMAE_vXe4WRjXyk341F6a42ToiM-wur5VEDBL7x7YvMSL_85-Jx-aBVPFUbuJ2Blw6nVdy04uE2v3JrDNntsja/s1600/A0CF6442-646F-4C01-A2A9-993139DE79A1.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="378" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhmPv-aLtBGeK22sAESnN9qLerDVKBS5iZ-n_Y71w21DCEwZImwYkTgUVWMAE_vXe4WRjXyk341F6a42ToiM-wur5VEDBL7x7YvMSL_85-Jx-aBVPFUbuJ2Blw6nVdy04uE2v3JrDNntsja/s400/A0CF6442-646F-4C01-A2A9-993139DE79A1.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Venturing into Kjaer Weis foundation was one of these things: the reviews were praising it as the next savior; I found it a bit difficult to work with: Dry texture, slightly sticky formula, etc.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;"><tbody>
<tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y300/fruitycat/B7E6E949-4F1A-4A11-A5AC-361C929C2296.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img border="0" src="http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y300/fruitycat/B7E6E949-4F1A-4A11-A5AC-361C929C2296.jpg" height="400" width="400" /></a></td></tr>
<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">Kjaer Weiss foundation is a bit dry </td></tr>
</tbody></table>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Similar with Hourglass Primer n. 28...Or perhaps the opposite. <i>"Darn, that stuff is slippery! Did someone left the lube out there?"</i></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y300/fruitycat/7CCB177A-D154-4DDA-A2BF-737F0667D8E8.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y300/fruitycat/7CCB177A-D154-4DDA-A2BF-737F0667D8E8.jpg" height="400" width="400" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<i> </i>Since Frankening it up has been a thing since...I guess 2004 <span style="font-size: x-small;">(nailpolish board Makeupalley), </span> or longer I made some good sense out of the two and mixed them.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y300/fruitycat/2564848D-2E9B-4EC4-A680-F1ECB7DF2BCF.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y300/fruitycat/2564848D-2E9B-4EC4-A680-F1ECB7DF2BCF.jpg" height="400" width="393" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Sometimes I just use the primer on my skin first, and smooth the dryer texture of Kjaer Weis over it. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
It is not something you might never read about before but I really like the way these opposites attract and seem to work as a base for me.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<i>The moral of this Story: </i></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-size: large;"><span style="background-color: #fff2cc;"><span style="font-family: "Helvetica Neue",Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;"><i>Try some concoctions before you chuck away your good stuff!</i></span></span></span></div>

I have not been doing this for a while but I still like to share my <b>September</b> Used Ups: </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">

<div style="text-align: center;">
<b><u> </u></b></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<b><u>Giovanni </u>Perfectly Platinum Shampoo</b> (& Conditioner) is the organic answer to all those purple un-brassy shampoos. Soft and non-irritating and it has enough purple to keep the hair fresh. </div>

<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><i><span style="font-size: x-small;">Oh, by the way. My last blogpost said something about E. But that's life and generation amnesia, right?</span></i></span></div>

<span style="color: #444444;"><i><span style="font-size: large;">I had a small moment going into trending #greytone hair....</span></i></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjb3P93UuYXzwQQknqU03GRzUxWYrqKiGor02Sm5vaSFensVzxZnfk5XZLkGXnDdefRKCQt-cLn57OICuPGufOcXHyfQsswwEigC_3kV3vnOQSeo9Wv03jr6RKQSuQIZ1wfuIqzGfnLXmXC/s1600/50ShadesOfGreyHair_FrontCover.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjb3P93UuYXzwQQknqU03GRzUxWYrqKiGor02Sm5vaSFensVzxZnfk5XZLkGXnDdefRKCQt-cLn57OICuPGufOcXHyfQsswwEigC_3kV3vnOQSeo9Wv03jr6RKQSuQIZ1wfuIqzGfnLXmXC/s400/50ShadesOfGreyHair_FrontCover.jpg" width="342" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I felt ok with it, and then came to extra makeup to compensate for loosing warmth on my skin...</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
(it looks slightly green in this filter but you get the idea)</div>
<table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;"><tbody>
<tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y300/fruitycat/03764E9C-E62A-4F12-BAD9-1D3E10095D66.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img border="0" src="http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y300/fruitycat/03764E9C-E62A-4F12-BAD9-1D3E10095D66.jpg" height="239" width="320" /></a></td></tr>
<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">spooky Birkie</td></tr>
</tbody></table>
<div style="text-align: center;">
So I gotten over it and went warmer again.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I think natural warmer hairs have a bit of a non-moment these days. Various pinterest hair-spirations tell us that anything warm is brassy and anything ash is classy.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
It sometimes seems to forget that there are women (and men) out there who are actually either natural redheads or copperheads. Not all faces are created equal and some people benefit more from having a bit of warmth in their hair instead of the ice-pole around their face.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
E.g <b>Emma Stone</b></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://cosmouk.cdnds.net/cm/14/30/53d3522f0c016_-_celebrs-better-pale-emma-stone-lgn.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://cosmouk.cdnds.net/cm/14/30/53d3522f0c016_-_celebrs-better-pale-emma-stone-lgn.jpg" height="480" width="640" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Ofcourse, Miss Stone is gorgeous enough to pull either something cool or warm, but how ravishing she looks with warmer hair?</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br />
<b>Alexa Chung</b><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgDvQ06FVY1q61Mj28MmPr2wQo6uRivVOqRlfkdQ1V8kUvaLU8nakxJf5vUE1S3KH0E2QOLl_x7ngl0565fq4d8seeYgSPbf-_Cuh1TYHDyxixFO_xvVehdDfZ1s9TupKmxIiKw94EgQ3Fn/s1600/Screen+Shot+2015-09-29+at+6.19.39+AM.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgDvQ06FVY1q61Mj28MmPr2wQo6uRivVOqRlfkdQ1V8kUvaLU8nakxJf5vUE1S3KH0E2QOLl_x7ngl0565fq4d8seeYgSPbf-_Cuh1TYHDyxixFO_xvVehdDfZ1s9TupKmxIiKw94EgQ3Fn/s1600/Screen+Shot+2015-09-29+at+6.19.39+AM.png" /></a></div>
<br />
Alexa could also pull both warm & cool thanks to her stunning features. She often has a bit of a copper glow in her hair and somehow I feel it suits her better than cooler hair. <br />
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<b>Debra Messing </b></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://kernelmag.dailydot.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/01/Debra-Messing.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://kernelmag.dailydot.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/01/Debra-Messing.jpg" height="316" width="400" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
She is not a natural redhead but it works amazingly with the warmth of her complexion.<br />
<br />
And Instagram account <b>@beautyisboring</b> has this image of a warmer, honey blonde:<br />
<br />
<table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;"><tbody>
<tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y300/fruitycat/17222577-4667-4E6C-B28A-A857C8336408.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img border="0" src="http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y300/fruitycat/17222577-4667-4E6C-B28A-A857C8336408.png" height="640" width="360" /></a></td></tr>
<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">Annelot de Waal flaunting honey tones for <i>Beauty is Boring</i></td></tr>
</tbody></table>
I'm all about bringing that photo to my colourist to ask if they could do a similar shade on me.<br />
<br />
</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I liked being a grey for a while and it has helped me being able to accept going grey for real in <i>da</i> future.</div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
Is that a certain kind of makeup-prevision, or a mere knowledge of seasonal skin-change? </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">

<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
So I've been getting "On your Marc...get set...<u><b>Autumn</b></u>" in terms of foundations, and a primer. I've ordered them when my summer skin had been behaving more than good (thumbs up on <strike>innerbeauty</strike> tons of superfoods and gentle skincare). And even, <i>dare I say</i>...being satisfied; I was foreseeing this day I would look at my skin and see the imperfections and the need to have more cover.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Oh well, imperfect skin does make a beauty-lover more adventurous in making it look better...And perhaps being a more astute blogger than a flawless blogger who doesn't really need it.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<b>Marc Jacobs'</b> new <b><span class="st">Re(Marcable) Full Cover Foundation Concentrate</span></b> claims to have a heavier coverage than I normally would opt for (some on <a href="http://www.beautyprofessor.net/2015/07/new-foundation-alert-marc-jacobs.html">beautyprofessor</a>). I still caved because the same beautyprofessor claims it has "<b>un-scented</b> serum-esque" properties and "the velvety aftermath results in blurred pores, concealed
imperfections and a very natural finish".</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
It was predominantly my own curiosity that gotten me into the new Primer: <b>Marc Jacobs Under(cover) Perfecting Coconut Face Primer.</b> </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Everyone worth its visits to healthgurus like Deliciously Ella will get a Pavlov-reaction of hearing about C.O.CO.N.U.T.S <i><span style="font-size: x-small;">(I'd just spell it gently here)</span></i>.</div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Let's go for the aesthetics first. <b>Marc Jacobs Under(cover) Perfecting Coconut Primer </b>is in a white glass bottle with a enormous bottle cap and a matte sheer bottle that shows the content.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Opening the big 'hat' shows us a pump-dispenser:</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjnGAMaHaHr4Z5f3_D0kxZX_9KMT2ZfPMhkk4rLiAUkvdRU_MqKM3Fv96O8H3kbwFlX6OjQOzPlvp_-5JAP4ZmmW9v-l4Sk3E2S1OgP2uAieta2GXpjMKfXOvP8TwXMJqiEjxPc6ooJw2hyphenhyphen/s1600/IMG_0020.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjnGAMaHaHr4Z5f3_D0kxZX_9KMT2ZfPMhkk4rLiAUkvdRU_MqKM3Fv96O8H3kbwFlX6OjQOzPlvp_-5JAP4ZmmW9v-l4Sk3E2S1OgP2uAieta2GXpjMKfXOvP8TwXMJqiEjxPc6ooJw2hyphenhyphen/s640/IMG_0020.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
So it pumps into a nice, equal blob:</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhD3RpYLV3xxikkNUEG2LqUjU1DxhJ_rAU8D7pJ_AIUEiAW2ShApwATjeoc-5vEoQunTkQFb1tw-CWa7-H_KowV1qdLZ35roSZdfGVGWdnI0AiYuw6x5C-rYEIJuTtGAu8zgY1x3pgOIu1S/s1600/IMG_0021.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhD3RpYLV3xxikkNUEG2LqUjU1DxhJ_rAU8D7pJ_AIUEiAW2ShApwATjeoc-5vEoQunTkQFb1tw-CWa7-H_KowV1qdLZ35roSZdfGVGWdnI0AiYuw6x5C-rYEIJuTtGAu8zgY1x3pgOIu1S/s400/IMG_0021.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
It has this most moisturizer-ish feel. Also in the way it spread, slightly unsightly:</div>

<span id="goog_509621399">I like the high coverage, but I'm slightly underwhelmed with the smoothing effect. The vertical lines in my arms are still visible.</span><br />
<span id="goog_509621399"><br /></span>
I also miss the lumiscence that I often get from other foundations.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
In any case, this will become my foundation on days that I need high coverage. However, I do find it needing extra work to keep it looking natural: I am thinking extra highlighter, another primer that does fill out pores and lines, and the likes.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Ofcourse, my opinion is all personal because this foundation might work like a dream on a different skintype. Still I believe a foundation should be easier to work with anno 2015.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<u><b>Personal concensus</b></u>: I like the Coconut primer for being so gentily priming and ticking of my #paleo #healthygirl box. The foundation, slightly underwhelmed.<br />
