Bihada Ichizoku blush in Pink

In December 2008 I became the proud owner of my first Bihada Ichizoku blush in Beige (here). My regular reading posse knows that I have a weak spot for blush items and an even weaker spot for quirky and slightly unknown Japanese items, so Bihada Ichizoku is all of these characteristics bundled in one highly pigmented blush.

I loved the glow and pigmentation of my Beige Bihada so much that I found myself ' needing' the Pink one as well. I also had seen some swatches on Lotuspalace and Haruhhi' blog, and it looked just so pretty...the perfect valentine colour.

So, here it is...pretty pink Bihada.

I took a picture of the colour I swiped with my finger. I have to say: it is pigmented to the max, but still very finely milled. That day, I swatched my Shu Uemura blush in Pulse as well. Shu Uemura is more expensive, but less pigmented than the Bihada one. I will review the Shu Pulse soon and post extra comparing pictures of the two as well.

However, the packed amount of pigment does not imply that you will end up with clowny cheeks if you apply too much. No sir/madam...The next picture shows the blush completely unblended on the right site, and the left site is a blended version of the Bihada pink. The picture is not of the best quality, but you can see the difference in pigmentation. Even if you apply your blush with a heavy hand, you can still blend it out until it turns out as the left version. Quite lovely, I say.

I love this blush a lot, but wish that Bihada Ichizuko would make more colours, such as a rosy mauve. I am not so sure if this pink turns out natural on my pale winter face. In the blended version, yes, but when I want to show all of the pink...I do not know. I am one of those persons with weird neutral colouring who cannot wear colours that are too cool toned or too warm toned.

However, if you love showing a sweet pinkish glow (blended) or love to make a romantic face with pinkish cheeks...this is your blush. Also, I think that a lot of cool toned girls can wear this. I also think it is pigmented enough for darker skintones. Still, it can also be used by the very pale.

So, Bihada Ichizoku...make a larger selection of blushes and I will be your main client for sure (ok, slighly overrated...but I would certainly buy more of their colours).

You can find the pink and the beige Bihada Ichizoku blush on the hard to navigate jpmon.com for 450 taiwanese dollars (approx. $14).

Bihada Ichizoku Blush in Beige

I have been lemming (wanting eagerly) Bihada Ichizoku blushers for several months, and I was really happy to find them online at jpmon.com. (jpmon.com is quite a tricky website, if you do not speak Chinese... fortunately the Muse did a tutorial on ordering here)

Anyway, after contemplating which colour to pick, I chose the beige one. But, after seeing haruhii pics online, I was afraid that the beige one will look orangy on me. Check out the link of her post. I do not want to steal her beautiful pictures.

The blusher and other items arrived yesterday, and fortunately it seems really workable as a winter bronzer/highlighter colour...

Here is a picture of the blusher in sunlight (finally, there is a bit of sunlight today!)

The blusher out of sunlight, but still in natural light.

This is a close up of the blusher in sunlight:

On my pale arm. Natural light and no direct sunlight.

And the same swatch in sunlight:

The box itself is quite reminicent of the Shu Uemura blusher. I compared the two of them, but I found that the Bihada Ichozoku blusher is a bit bigger than the Shu.

I bought the blusher on jpmon for 450 taiwanese dollar, which is about $13.50 (current rate)and it is listed over here. More Bihada items are available on this page, or you could ask a lovely friend in Japan to purchase these items for you.
