French Haul

A couple of weeks ago I was in Paris and I got some cute things...
There is no way you can go to Paris and skip on the best Macarons in the world: Laduree.

And I went for the special edition of Les Marquis, only sold by the shop at 14 rue de Castiglione.
how could I resist this shopwindow?
Ofcourse, I digested one of them with my cute-as-a-button tea-set from La Chaise Longue
To add, some funky candles from cultshop Colette:
Also limited editions. Hurray!

*artistic (Basquiat & Keith Haring)
*Funny drawings
*limited Editions
*they smell quite good too
(the candles can also be found on their website)

I went to the Keith Haring exhibition and it was really lively, although you might question if it is really art (but that's often the question around art)

I finally bought the quintessential French Shoe, the ballerina: Repetto ofcourse.

Window Repetto Rue St. Honore (they have several shops in the city)
A shoe that really looks like a ballerina shoe makes you feel like a little girl again.

Talking about feeling like a little girl, I couldn't resist Pink Panther:
For the grown-up girl in me: the Japanese Vogue (Holland hardly sell these anymore, they used to)

So Paris gave me a funky smile (and three eyes) as Mr. Haring is burning smilingly...
spreading heady florals around the room.

Overal, a cute city with a taste for sweet decadence.

Tip Toed...

It's new shoes time...!

I jumped the bandwagon and got myself a pair of shiny noses that are actually really welcome...

These cap-toe shoes are such lovely pumps and I got this idea from the fashionblogs I've been following around. These are Topshop's and are a beautiful cream base with a gold-pink nose.

They are not that unique anymore, because Zara has them for a similar price and somewhat similar shade and another cute colour in turquoise. But I wanted a sweet nude for OL appropriateness.

Anything you bought lately that put (a) spring in your step?

Etsy inspiration: Fall 2009 Fashionistas

Normally I browse the etsy site for cute and small things that are affordable and handy. But etsy is such a place for everybody who has a creative edge (or a good eye for vintage finds) that I could not help checking out some fashionable items as well.

Yes yes, I have been influenced by the latest heap of Glossy magazines that are chockfull of the 'IT' trends of Autumn 2009. It seems like summer has hardly started, and we are already looking at the things to wear for Autumn.

Anyway, I found some gorgeous and somewhat extravagant things that are absolutely lust-worthy.

Nostalgia's Fierce Fashion Scarf (or, a little bit of everything attached to your scarf)

I like this girl: she is normal, fierce and makes some wickedly fun creations. This scarf is everything wrapped in one, you can wear it in several different ways, and still affordable ($40).

Iheartnorwegianwood's cage skirt has been featured on various fashionista-blogs already. But it looks like so much fun! I love her Fringe necklace as well: it updates your ol' t-shirt and gives it a dash of A/W 2009 without investing too much $$ in it.

I have become slightly in love with these Tinkerbell ballet flats from spirocreations. Dainty shoes with a LAAAARGE pop of yellow colour.

They do not come that cheap ($140), but you will not be the average girl wearing Birkinstocks for sure.

attilladesign makes some awesome creations. I love her Mixed Media Indigo Blues reversible Choo Choo mad House Vest

And her Belle Epoque Bambi dress

Mmm, I found my imaginary, lust-have scarf, skirt, dress, vest, necklace and shoes...now I need the bag.

This one looks cute, original and is affordable ($55): the Dogwood Ruffle Bag from SweetgumHandbags.

And so I will dream on about cute, fashionable thingies for next Autumn/Winter 2009...only if the creditcard would be as willing as well...;D

G-Market!

When I picked up my packet of Gmarket last friday, I almost swore that I would never order from them again. I had to pay the taxes from the Custum office, and that would be the third time in a row. I mean, I only hauled small for approximately 55 euros, and I had to pay 25 euros tax.

my heart always beats faster seeing this box: it means GMARKET goodies!

But then, I opened the box and fell in love...with my new goodies. I haven't been this enthousiastic about a blush/bronzer hybrid before...but check out my pics ;D

THAT blush/bronzer I just wrote about is one of the newest cheek-pretties from Banila Co. It is named Copacabana. Banila Co has lauched a new bronzy line for the summer, which, according to me, seems to be the latest trend in Korean skincare, as Etude House has been lauching 'Top Ten', which focuses on bronzed skin as well.

Swatches and a mini-review will follow next week!

Lotree always keeps my interest. I love their powders, powdered foundations and lipsticks. I bought their latest powder from them, The Moisture Skin Primer Pact, a small BB cream and received a pretty salmony pink lipstick too.

I bought this under items no 162093374

I also bought something completely different! I was browsing the shoes-department of gmarket and found these cartoon-esque sneakers. How cute! He he, I managed to pick the right size as well (thanks to the converter page).

I bought these shoes from seller NONAMES under code 118891489. I picked design A, but check out the other cute designs too.

So, even though I was bummed about the tax I had to pay over such a small haul, I still adore my goodies and I am incredibly glad to have them.

We have a Primark!

Wow, how could I have missed this news? Since the beginning of December our country is the happy owner of a Primark as well. Just in time for the credit crunch shoppers...

Primark was my little haven during my stay in Liverpool last year. It is absolutely not snobworthy, because the shop caters for the Cheap and Cheerful: think dresses for 12 euro...bags for 7 euro, etc.

Ok, I have to travel about an hour by train to reach the store, as it is in the South of the Netherlands...but it beats going to London/Liverpool/Glasgow by air (although that option is more fun....). Or, as I did yesterday...convinced my boyfriend to drive me to the place.
Aww, my cutie pie did that...we came back with a modest haul. He bought a sweater and some pants...Here is the bag....

Yup, we have our own bags with the adress on top..

My damage: a flimsy top with art deco decoration on the bottom (cheapy 13 euro)

It looks a bit like the template of my blog, except it being in different colours...

Some cheap boots that look not so cheap...(16 euros)

I like the way you can wear them...turned down or turned up...And the heels are the same colour as the boot itself...
Lovely to have found a British Franchise in our little country. I just loveeee British shops!

spenderella: shoes and co...

One of my first posts on this blog was declaring my admiration to a pair of F-Troupe patent flats with a couple of cute bows on top. I did the funny thing of re-reading my own post, and clicked on the F-Troupe site again....and WOW, my patent lust-haves were discounted: 50% off, which made them £35.00 instead of £70...I had to buy them, ofcourse...how strong do you think I am?

So they arrived this week, and are really cute....

I also bought some items on Urbanoutfitters.co.uk. I really fancied this boyfriend cardigan with lace:

And some green suede boots that were discounted as well: It looks like a have little Elf feet on this picture, LOL...

I also received a cute pink waistcoat from Topshop, but I haven't photographed that one.
Another item with a bow...I sure have a theme of clothes and shoes this week...
Mmm, I might list 'saving money' as a good year's resolution, don't ya think?

lust-have: F-troupe bow pumps

I really dig these cute-as-a-button ballet pumps with a big bow. The bow itself even has little studs in the middle....and the patent leather has a scattering of glitters inside...

They would set me back £70.00+ £15 shipping; that would be 108 euros. And would my sturdy and wide feet be comfortable in them?

Still, these f-troupe flats are absolutely adorable...they are available on the f-troupe site.

Will I cave, or will I be sensible???
