Shiseido Maquillage Face Creator in 22: Orangetastic

In my last post I had been summing up for the things I was waiting for in the mail. This week I received one of those items, the Shiseido Maquillage Face Creator in 22.

I was very enthousiastic to try it out. I opened the box, and saw a spectrum of orangy toned colours. In the first instant, I regretted buying the 22, because warm toned colours are not really suitable on my neutral-cool face.

If you click on the picture above, you can see that the colours are beautiful, but rather orange.

I was not completely thrown away, because the swatches can sometimes be different that what you see in the pan. Unfortunately, they are indeed very orangetastic. The only colour that would be somewhat suitable for me is the third colour on the left, the shader colour.

The picture with flash is even more orange than the picture without flash. Yikes, this one looked so much prettier on the pictures I have seen online.

Anyway, it has not been my best buy. I prefer my Maquillage in 33 soooo much more.

Fortunately, I had a relatively good deal on ebay when buying this, so I did not loose that much dollars. And I am always happy to provide information and swatches for the other beauty addicts online, so it has not been the worst thing.

I think I might compensate by buying the Face creator refill in 11 from ichibankao today, as they still have the 5% off on Maquillage and Coffret d'Or.

Anyway, I am still waiting for the other things. Also, I forgot to mention that I am also waiting for a biiiig Banilla haul from Gmarket. I hope my package is not being held hostage too long at the Customs (it has been lying there for 5 days now). "Come on, customs...give me my Banilla!"

So, dear readers, for which items are you waiting for?

Waiting for.. (mail)

After a period of using the computer for studying, I have refound the love of ordering online. I cannot post anything beautiful yet, but let me sum up for the items I am anxiously waiting for:
  • Cle de Peau eye quint in 21: I saw this beauty on facial-shop.com! It was the gorgeous item I blogged about before (here), and I jumped up and down when I finally found it online! Unfortunately, the palette I ordered first, no 20, was sold out. Good for me I browsed a bit further, so I found a even better palette for my needs.
  • Maquillage Face creator in 22: I already have and adore the 33 (review here) but I still want a bit of bronzer colours for the upcoming spring (no, spring has not sprung yet in my miserable little country). I love to be pale and I am completely fine with being pale (and the Japanese aestetics value pale faces) but my country values 'the tan'. So, I have to fake it a bit in order to avoid comments it I have been ill...LOL
  • Sofina Primavista smooth coat base from bobodave.com. I have ordered a couple of Sofina Primavista samples earlier. Actually, I ordered them to try out the Bright up Base and ended up liking the Smooth Coat base even more for 'airbrushing' my pesky pores. Another bonus, there is not silicony feel that you can have with the usual primers.
  • Maquillage Moisture Rouge (sheer type) PK 705. I ordered a sample set of some Maquillage lipsticks on bobodave before, and ended up liking the RS 724 (color type) and PK 705. And whoohoo, Facial shop had the PK 705 for a good discount ($ 21.99 instead of the $34 I have seen at other webshops). I still want the RS 724.
I will end my post with an oldy-goldy from the lovely ninetees: Waiting for by the Red Hot Chili Peppers

Kose Cosmeport Salon Style Hair mask

It's about hair today! So shake your locks and let the hair flow....

As I mentioned a looong time ago, my hair is quite long...and I always looking for a good, but not too expensive mask to treat my hair every now and then.

I like a couple of Western brands, such as Redken Smooth Down Butter treatment, but that s#cker is not cheap at all (22 euros). Actually, most good quality masks in Western brands are quite expensive. Fortunately, I found a wonderful and cheaper alternative for this baby, and it is from Kose.

Let me introduce the Kose Cosmeport Salon Hair Style mask. I found it for around 10 euros or cheaper on Sasa.com. Unfortunately, sasa has taken it out of its line, which is a shame, because it is wonderful!

The Gold emblem looks royal to me...very stylish.

The inside looks quite goopy and a bit thick. This is a major plus, in my opinion, because a little bit of cream will cover a lot of your locks. My thrifty nature is also satisfied, as you can do a long time before finishing the tub.

This picture shows how past-like it is...LOL, it looks like a little hat on my finger...

However, it works like a dream on slightly damaged hair. It silkifies, moisturizes and makes it easier to comb...it also straightens the hair a bit, although I am not really sure how it would work on curly or wavy hair, as my hair is already quite stick-straight.

I would absolutely recommend this mask if you are looking for a mask that makes damaged locks more managable. Darn sasa for not selling this anymore! I found it on ebay (or evilbay as some say) around $ 11, however, you still have to pay the extra shipping so that will take the cheap out of the deal.

Nevertheless, I would still recommend this mask, even if the price would be a bit higher.

Miffy's wonderful world...

In my last post I mentioned that I had been visiting the Miffy museum and giftshop in the city where I study. I have been studying so intensively lately, that I needed some superficial relief.

I am a weird person...I seem to switch from the intelligent, diligent, studying person into a very childish person....and I like it...he he. Anyway, don't we all have a little child inside that wants to play?

Anyway, I love to show you some of the picture I was able to make in the giftshop (and some sneaky pictures in the museum.

The first picture is the welcome board, and where to find the tickets. The Miffy museum is used to receiving Japanese visitors, as they have the instructions in Japanese as well.

But ofcourse, Miffy is incredibly Kawaii! Look at the overload of cuteness in the shop!

I loved the collection of China with Miffy on it. The China is made in the traditional Dutch, or Delft's Ware tradition (website of the official producer of Delft's Ware)

Except for the little Miffy key holder I bought, I was not able to resist some other items. These items are not all for me. Some have been send away (or will be soon....)
Last picture...he he, a bit of culture (are you bored yet?). It is the city I study in. It is quite small for international standards, but that makes it cosy and not so threatening. And, *smiles* lots of bicycles....

That was a bit of the Miffy day I had. I hope you will have a wonderful weekend filled with relaxation and peace. And, keep your inner child happy!

Sasa haul and other cuties

Before I show you my new haul, I want you to meet my new friend: little Miffy.

I bought this cute Mifster this week when I went to see the Miffy museum. Miffy originates from the Netherlands, and the city that I study in has a Miffy museum, and giftshop. In order to relax a bit, and buy some cute items for some of my blogfriends, I went to the museum.

Back to the Sasa haul. So, my hauling feelings are still present. I was, as a true addict, very pleased to find a Sasa box waiting for me when I came home from a long day.

The European crowd have to buy for at least $100 to get free shipping from sasa.com; it was $75 before, and I believe the American shoppers still have the $75 minimum. Anyway, I do not have trouble at all filling up my card until the minimum.

I am always amazed by the amount of products you can get for $101.60. Look at the previous picture, that is a cart full of niceness! Let me sum up the things I bought:
  • B & C CELEBLOUS Gelina Cheek (Macaron Pink)
  • Sana KONUKA Milky Lotion
  • Shiseido Water In Lip (Pineapple)
  • Kose FASIO Double Dazzling Eyes (Gold & Silver)
  • Kanebo KRACIE MOISTURE MASK (5 piece)
  • Arezia Rose Cleansing Water
  • Shiseido TSUBAKI Tsubaki Conditioner
  • Kose SOFTYMO Airy Whip
  • Kanebo NAIVE Deep Cleansing Oil
  • Sana NAMERAKA Nameraka Honpo Essence
  • Skin Food Black Sesame Hot Mask

I bought the Kanebo Krazie mask after reading a review on lotuspalace about the black mask. I figured the red package would be similar. The Kose Softymo Airy Mousse was bought because of MusingsofaMuse ravings on this product. The Naive cleansing oil on the ravings on MUA and Skinfood Black Sesame Mask on the reviews of several bloggers.

Do I have something I bought based on my own ravings or intuition? Yes I do have a opinion of my own, LOL I really liked the Celeblous blush in Naked Skin I bought in my previous haul, so I wanted the Macaron pink as well.

The Fasio Double Dazzling eyes was one product I really enjoyed before, so I picked up this set op colours as well. Also, the Arezia Rose Cleansing Water and the Shiseido Water in Lip-lipbalm in pineaple was bought on pure curiosity.

This week I received my firs haul from Etsy shop Elladean. Elladean has quite a cult-following in my country. Her lipbalms are known to be really nice. And look at the cuteness of the packaging. Anyway, enough reasons to try out the 'Couples in Love' set that was released this Valentine.

She was so sweet to add another two balms as freebies. That is an amazing haul, considering I had to pay $16.25 (+ 2.70 shipping). I already like the watery consistency of the balms, so it is really a worthwile collection.
So, that is my amount of hauls for this week (so far). It is not Fuzworthy yet (a term coined by Jamilla Camel, LOL) but it was satisfactory.

The one I was supposed to love...

Today I will tell you a love story about the one I was supposed to love. No, it is not a person, it is a blush.

My beautiful Jill Stuart blush is almost perfection The shape is feminine, the lacing on the box so very unique, the inside is a spectrum of beauty...

The quartet of colours inside is the epitome of gorgeousness...

However, we are not made for each other....
I have tried to make it work...each side of you has been touched upon differently...but alas...we are not meant to be...
How beautiful you are in the box, and how beautiful you may appear on other persons, I am not suitable for you, and you not for me.

So, alas...I have to let you go.
(Update...my beautiful ex-blush has been really flattered with all the attention and declarations of love from all of the commenters. He will have a 'date' with Vanessa. I hope she will appreciate the beauty and uniqueness of the blush...
As for me...sight, parting is a sweet kind of sorrow, even if it was not meant to be)

I am going slightly bonkers with the generosity and love from this wonderful person. She has not only given me such precious items, but she has read my blog carefully to know I am a sucker for the neutrals...I received, hold on,
