Bourjois Rose Frisson 54 (vintage edition)

During my last trip to Paris I found myself feeling attracted to a couple of vintage printed Bourjois boxes.

My first impulse was buying a lot of them randomly. However, I can be a sensible shopper every now and then, so I swatched a couple of colours and decided I needed the Rose Frisson 54 blush! It was a colour I had not seen before in my own country: I found out that Paris had a wider selection of Bourjois colours.

Every box of the Bourjois vintage edition has a different kind of text and description (click the first picture for a close view). The Rose Frisson had the lovely description "Ashes of Roses". Mmm, to think of it...real ashes of Roses might be less charming than the Bourjois version...

Bourjois explains the origin of their Vintage-inspired collection on the round leaflet they included in the blush-box. I never knew that Bourjois was officially a perfume brand.

The inside of the box is like any other Bourjois blusher. It is a baked blush with a rose scented powder inside.

The close-up of the powder shows us a rosy pink with a sheen. It was the reason I picked it up in the first place. Some Bourjois blushers can be a bit sparkly, but not this colour...it simply glows...

This particular blush is really pigmented! It can be seen at the left side, the unblended side. However, I can blend it very well in a subtle rosy glow which is just lovely and fresh.
I picked up this blush for full retail price, which was 11.35 euro. Funnily, they retail for a euro cheaper in my country, which is a bit weird considering the fact that they are produced in La Douche France.
I spotted some of the vintage boxes in my country as well, but as I mentioned before, I haven't spotted the Rose Frisson yet, so I am delighted to have picked this up in France.
Overall, I would give it 4 stars, or 4 birkinbags of 5....

Hi Jojoba, so the 54 is widely avaibable in your country? I think that our selection of bourjois is much smaller. I love your favourites as well.

Hi Yumeko, wonderful. They are available at your place as well.

Hi makeupmag, I love the packaging...really pretty.
