H&M annual designer-madness fest...

This morning I was actually glad to hear the alarm bell. Ehm, actually no...but it was not as hard as usual to get out of bed and drag my tired self to the closet in order to look a bit fashionista.

Teehee, I wanted to look the part when running for the latest designer collaborating collection of H&M with Comme des Garcons. I actually like the designer of this year: I skipped last year, because Cavalli is not so much my style.

Comme des Garcons clothes are designed by the avantgardic Kei Kawakubo, and I love the clean lines and artsy impression his high end collection makes, so I had to que up for the H&M version as well.

Yeehaa, I actually managed to bring home a lovely loot in my size...

The 'hunt' itself was a lot more organised than previous years (I can only speak for the Stella Mc. Carney time, as I ordered Victor and Rolf online, and skipped the rest). Before opening, the queing ladies and gays (sorry straight guys if I insulted you) got a flyer with the game rules...

Ha ha, it is in Dutch. Well, let me recap: Hi Fashionistas, we are really delighted to see you here today. Please do not run to your goodies. Do not trade or sell in the store itself; do not make photos or videos in the store (privacy reasons); garments should only be returned within 7 days.

And, yup...people did not run (how obedient), which had to do with the fact that people were only allowed to go in a few at a time. Such delight, no fighting and battling for your size (and I even brought my chain bag for knocking down other shoppers---just kidding).

My camera does not photograph so good at night, even with flash, so sorry for the dogdy pictures. I have bough the trench in black, 2 blouses and the dress with the backless triangle. I also had a blazer, but I returned it the same day...

I sniffed the perfume as well. However, there was a really dominating masculine note in it...I cannot pin it down...Even though I enjoy unisex scents every now and then, this was a bit too 'muscly' for me...I felt a bit Samantha Ronson for a while, LOL.

Anyway, what are your weirdest shopping experiences? And how far would you go for that perfect item you covet?
