thanks so much for having this giveaway! you're too sweet! ^^

my most fond summer memory is when my family went to paris, vienna and salzburg in 2005. not only was this vacation a turning point in my personal life, i realized just how much i loved french culture and european culture in general. i had only traveled within the US and to korea (homeland) before but had never really experienced any other culture. this trip had such profound impacts on me and i treasure it very much.

My favorite summer memory was when my friends and I would spend our whole summer vacation outside on the sidewalk, riding bikes and scooters. Haha, we were so young and its sad to see how kids these days are spending more and more time inside playing with electronics :[ Watermelons definitely symbolize summer for me XD They're super cool and refreshing, perfect for a hot and humid day!

Thanks for the giveaway. :]

hi! silent reader here.. finally speaking up.

well technically it's always summer here in singapore, but i've been to the US during summer and boy it was so HOT. anyway, i was there to visit my cousins and family, and we spent most of our time there at the beach or the pool. it was alot of fun, but i became so dark after that! it's taken me 2 years to go back to my normal fair skin...

so naturally the place that reminds me of summer would be the beach. i love beaches and am lucky enough to live just opposite singapore's east coast beach =P yup that's my memory. hope it entertained you.. at least a little? haha.

my best summer memory was in 2007, when my bf came to see me in Bangkok.

He lives in France, Paris. I was raised there but then my family came back to Thailand in 1999. At that time, I only knew him via internet (ICQ, MSN), we never met and we were just friends. We kept in touch during all theses years. In the meantime we both had someone in our lives. Then in 2005 he broke up with his gf. That's the reason why we were more often on the phone or chatting on the net. Then in 2006, he came in vacation with his cousin for a month in Bangkok. We got to meet each other for the very first time and i guess I can proudly say that we had a 'crush' on each other. We went out together for the last days of his holiday. Then he went back in his country. 4 months later he came back to see me and stayed for 2 weeks. We went in Lanta island together. It was so romantic and unforgettable, the island is very peaceful and beautiful. It was my first trip alone with a bf.

A year later, he moves to Thailand to live with me, we are now engaged and live in the apartment that he bought...

My fondest and most treasured summer memory was last summer when my cousin basically sponsored my trip to LA to visit them. I had the most amazing time there and I cannot possibly thank her enough for her generosity. She taught me so many things, bought me an incredible amount of things, and brought me to so many places. I will always be grateful for the love that my family shows to me.

My favorite summer memory will be have a 2-weeks out of town duty/recreation with my classmates at a province where near the beach, everyday after duty we went to the beach and got drunk. Also must include those heart-to-heart talk. I miss those times with them! (I just graduated this year.. hardly to see them already!)

The drink for me that triggers the summer mood is definitely iced tea, served in a plastic cup with ice and lemon! Ice cream also has the same and effect and also, for some weird reason, carrots. I don't know why carrots makes me feel summery, it's not as if I eat more carrots in the summer than any other season, lol. Big hats also make me feel summery.

WOW, this giveaways really drag me here. ^_^

well

my favorite summer is last year, 2008. My friends and I who join the university chorus went to Phuket together. Phuket is the most beautiful island and the most heaven-like beach in Thailand and in the world. Lots of westerns come here to have vacation during summer. Me and my friends went snoggling together and we all saw very beautiful coral reef, and lots of fish. We had sea food together, laugh together, went hiking together, saw the sunset together, and Karaoke together. ^__^ LOTS OF FUN!! perfect summer for me forever!

My favourite summer memory was two years ago when I went to Germany for two weeks with some friends of mine. It was a student exchange, so I stayed in a German girl's house. I had a great time there, this girl and her family were very friendly and I visited lots of places. It was also my first time abroad alone with my friends, no parents! haha.

My favorite summer memory was 5 years ago my best friend from high school came to the U.S. for vacation. I was so happy that we could finally met after several years we haven't seen each other. I was having fun listening to her talking about her first impressions of America, and we talked a lot about our past happy high school memories. That was the best summer for me.

My favorite summer memory was 2 years ago my best friend and I took a trip to China after graduation before we started working. We didn't do anything incredibly special or crazy but just spending time together in the motherland relaxing after making it thru four years of (gruesome) college was memorable in itself.

Hi~ i’m quite new to the beauty blogging world xD but i’m loving it.

For me, crushed ice with syrup and ice cream brings out my summer mood to the fullest! It’s a drink/dessert and its really refreshing. I love how the small bits of ice melts as soon as it hits my mouth, even on the hottest day i feel cool instantly. I went through 3 cups once, it is just so good! it’s really funny when you put too much in your mouth and your whole mouth just freezes up and makes you squint and shiver xD lol. it is the BEST!

First of all, I'd like to say thank you for this giveaway. :)
Well I live in a tropical country, so basically it's 365 days summer, which I really get sick of it when the sun is burning me up. :(
I guess the only happy memory was 2 years back, when my class was selected to represent the school for our country's independence day march parade. (One whole month marching from morning to evening under the HOT SUN!) But that was really an unforgettable experience and I did have a lot of fun. :D
As for the item, I guess it shall be coconut drink. It's REALLY refreshing and cooling and my family and I simply adore it even just to quench thirst. ^^

I hope I'm not late for the entry
I think I have summer 365days. haha because I live in a tropical country. So I would like to do, items that triggers my summer mood. I think ice cream would be something that really good for summer. It is cooling and refreshing. haha xD is like your mouth is having an air conditioner and sooner, your body will get so cool too. Summer is hot, but a tiny cooling sensation is needed!

My fondest summer memories have to be from where I was little! My family and I used to go to this gorgeous seaside place every year and just stayed there for 15 days or so enjoying the sea and relaxing (not that I needed to relax then, but anyway!)
It was perfect, my sister and I used to stay on the beach all day playing, making new friends and swimming...ahhh! I miss those old good times!

amynaree said...

This might sound lame but the drink that triggers my summer memories is a big tall glass of coca-cola with lots of ice. When I was younger we didn't have a/c in our home so I would always have a fan blowing in my face, and my beverage of choice was coke with tons of ice! I know it's summer when i'm sweaty and hot and craving a glass of cold soda.

Hey babe what an awesome giveaway!!

My favorite memory of summertime is when my boyfriend Joe and I drove from San Diego all the way up to Bend, Oregon to visit my mum's house (17 hr. drive- we took Joe's Mom's Hummer, so it was very comfortable!). We spent about a week there. We went hiking with our dogs; my mum and joe really bonded as mum taught him how to flyfish; joe and I went white water rafting- and we just hung out in the beautiful, fresh summer air- so different than the air down here in southern cali.

Sometimes when I go through old pictures, these things remind me of summer. Good times :)

the desserts that triggers my summer memories are halo-halo and banana con yelo. The first one is a mix of red munggo beans, tapioca balls, milk, crushed ice, sliced banana, pinipig/cereal like topping, langkka. Yummy! You can get them any time of the year, there are some food stalls and resto which serves them year-round, but i only eat this dessert during summertime though

Another is the banana con yelo. It is such a simple dessert. Sliced banana, condensed milk and milk evap, crushed iced. Voila! Its super refreshing! i love bananas(you can tell right?)

Thanks for having a giveaway! i am a follower!

For Me, fla-vor-ice pops always puts me in the summer moods. I would eat multiple of these ice pops till my tongue goes numb. For the summer, I always try to have a pack in the fridge-my favorite is the green lime flavor =)

oh i love summer :) one of my favorite memories was when one summer my brother decided that i needed to get into shape (lol! it was for a good reason and i didn't argue with him) so we spent the entire summer playing tennis for a few hours every day and running/walking at night. it was really nice reconnecting with him, especially since i felt like we hadn't been talking much. and it'd be nice to do it again especially since we're both SO incredibly busy lately.

some of my favorite summer items are definitely dresses and/or tunics :)

hmm my current favourite summer memory is...wth, it's always hot here in sg, what i recalled wasn't really in the summer months but it was a hot evening with a light cool sea breeze and the pink papery flowers from the 'sakura of singapore' were drifting downwards onto the grass. my then bf and i were trying to catch the flowers in our hands and running about like kiddies(we weren't young then). yup. and the one thing that triggers the summer vacation feel for me is the smell of the hot dry dirt and grass. always reminds me of the june holidays(when i was still in school of course). the bf has since become my husband and we both enjoy the smell of hot dry dirt and grass :)))))

Wow thanks a lot for this giveaway!
So my favorite summer memory happened when I went back to Japan for the first time in 8-9 years (in 2004). I got lost with a friend of mine in the train station and got separated from my grandparents. Although I was able to speak fairly proficient conversational Japanese, it was tough getting back home. However I became much closer to my new friend and learned many lessons... haha. The food that triggers summer mood for me is watermelon! :)

First of all, thanks for the giveaway!

And here we go...

Just the other day, I was sitting on my porch next to my grandmother, and suddenly realized that between swatting away flies from my legs, having my hair up in a ridiculously high ponytail, and wearing scandalously short running shorts paired with a sleeveless vest I cut up myself.... that it was summer. Simple as it sounds, it was just such a perfect moment. :)

Summer is in the air! Thanks for hosting this giveaway.

My most fondest summer memory would be 3 years ago when I spent 2 months in China and Hong Kong. I had so much fun getting to know my cousins and it changed my perspective a lot. There was SO MUCH good food and really cheap goodies. I traveled to so many different landmarks. It really helped expand my Chinese vocab too. I would very much like to go back soon and really take advantage of what there is to offer.

ooo i had to join this give away, even though we have summer all year round, i'll tell you my fondest holiday memory, when we have our mid-year school break (around the same time as summer break in the US).

i love the moments we spent as kids at the beach, having picnics, digging in the sand, & then jumping into the cool water. hahaha, i think i enjoyed the food the most. :D

thank you for the giveaway.

My most memorable giveaway would be my first trip overseas with my best friends using my hard earned cash. It was hong kong. Everything was fabulous. The people, the food, the makeup (SCREAM!) and I nearly never wanted to go home again.

I wish to go back again sometime when i am more financially stable :(
