I went back this Sunday and purchased the Makeup Forever Back to Black collection and Benefit Peace, Love & Glossiness.
The main reason I did not pick up the set the first time, was because of the eyeshadow. It is a carbon black with large silver glitters. It is absolutely party-tastic, but I would not use this eyeshadow everyday. However, I would loooove to try out the false lashes in the set, and I am already a major fan of the waterproof eyeliner. The total sum after the discount would be good enough to purchase the whole set, and maybe I can donate the eyeshadow to one of my regular readers (wink wink). That is also the reason I haven't swatched it, because I want it to stay brand new...
The back of the box has a mini-tutorial of how to apply the falsies. I kind of miss a full tutorial of how to create the complete party-look with the full set, but I do not mind that much.
The tutorial has pictures as well.
I think I will stick to the tutorials given by the more skilled beauty-bloggers I am familiar with. I have been using separate falsies in the past for a more natural look, but I have been spotting the full-on-falsies a lot on several blogs and magazines, and it looks so fantastic that I wanted a full set as well. I think MUFE will be a good start for trying them out.
My next set is the Benefit Peace, Love & Glossiness set. I like the sixties-esque swirls on the box, and the hippy-reference to Peace, Love and Happiness. I also liked the colours in the box: a mix of neutrals, sheers and pink.
Da right side of the box...
The only downside is the smell...a bit musty. There were no testers of the box at the Sephora, so I might have skipped them if I knew...
However, the price was rather good and I am sure that I will use them. I especially like the golden shimmer, as it can give extra oophh to a boring lipstick.
Overall, a good haul for these set....

OK we did and it was near my house but I didnt know what the hell it was back then - fort it was a nutter shop!
Ackkk, London does not have a Sephora...shame on London! I bought Sephora in a city which is even too small to be considered a proper city, so London should have a Sephora as well.
40%off???!!! I'd probably buy the store!!1
that black is NOT a party colour only. I use it to tightline all the time! I mixed it with Eye Seal though. it's fab! and that liner is good too.
the duo gloss set looks really like my recent purchase of NARS duo end gloss set! almost identical!
lucky you!
Hey Jojoba, that is a brilliant idea to use it as an eyeliner! Thanks for the tip!

i forgot to tell you that i haven't received the nixie blush in the mail yet. hopefully it will turn up soon. we've had lots of public holidays here so maybe that's why the mail is delayed.

hi there, thanks for showing me what you have to swap. the lunasol eyeshadow palette looks LOVELY. I'm interested in that.
what's lioelle? i couldn't find it online. what ingredients does the BB cream have?
the guerlain foundation might be too dark for you. it was too dark for me for sure. I think your skin is even fairer than mine.. but let me know after u swatch it at the store.
I still have the acqua di parma body cream. are you still interested in the HIP lipglosses, or not anymore?
Everything looks SO good! Your post reminded me that I want to buy the Aqua Eyes black pencil from MUFE. ;)
