Coralista sista!

I have been receiving some great hauls lately. It must have something to do with me ordering a lot...he he. This saturday I found a package from benefitcosmetics.com in my mailbox, which was a nice suprice for me.

I was one of the first to pick this up from their site (I blogged about it here). However, I did not know how long I had to wait for my order, because I ordered internationally. I am quite happy to received it within 12 days.

I also picked up a lipstick from the sale department. I picked 'I do...I do...I do" silky finish lipstick from the spring '08 collection. It was discounted from $18 to $13.50. I will post pictures of this product soon.

But first, the object of my affection: Coralista. I will not post a full review, but I will show you the pictures and my first impression.

I love the packaging...Benefit incorporated the animal-print in their packaging. Animal prints were a big hit in Autumn fashion, so Benefit did its bit of fashion-forward packaging.

You can even see the animal-print on the inside of the box, how cute!

The text on the back is bound to make you smile: "Take a pleasure trip...to rio. Sweep this coral pink powder onto cheekbones...bikini optional! (avoid eye area)". That is a very summery description and a wonderful fantasy...strutting your stuff in Rio...mmmm.

I consider corally pinks to be a very springlike/summery colour, so I certainly agree with the summer fantasy text on the box.
Corally pink goodness...I love it already!

I will post a couple of swatches in order to show its beauty. The first swatch is the pigment on my finger.

The next swatch is the swatch in cool light

This swatch is made with flash and in daylight (both). It is such a smooth and pigmented colour, very finely milled.

The close-up shows that, in contrast to its sister Nars Orgasm, there are no shimmers on glitters. This is a big hurray for me...

So, that was my first impression of this beautiful product. It reminds me a lot of my Jadilla J blush I blogged about earlier (here), only it contains more product.
You can buy this at benefitcosmetics.com for 28 bucks, or wait for your benefit store to stock it up.

So pretty! :D That is doesn't have shimmer means it would impart a polished blush look. I need to look at this irl!

coralista looks SOOOOOO pretty!! i haven't tried benefit products before..but i'm kinda iffy on getting coralista because it's a bit too pigmented for my taste. thanks for the swatches tho!

Thank you for your review. I've not been attracted to anything by Benefit before, but I think Coralista is going on my wishlist now. :) I liked Orgasm except for its sheerness and its glitter - this looks like it might be a good dupe!

I must check out Coralista, looks really nice! Most of the time Benefit disapoints but this one looks like it might be a winner:)

Thanks for the review. The color is gorgeous!! I'm afraid it's a bit too pigmented for me as I have very pale skin.
