'End of the Week'-quirkies

Because I had a give-away going on on the blog, I skipped the midweek-quirkologies. Still, I placed it at the end of the week for thís week only:

1. It's Skin Macaron Lipbalm in yellow.

I jumped upon the It's Skin bandwagon, ok...already did that with their serums, but I bought the Macaron-shaped lipbalm as well. It is a sweetly scented balm, quite Pineaple-like. Balm-wise, it is quite standard but moisturizing enough.

Cute enough for the desk...

2. Writing love...writing nice things...

It's often easy to forget to be kind to each-other on the internet. Actually, the beauty-bloggers along each other are quite friendly to each other but if you look at other social networks, the anonymous position can lead into writing not-so-friendly words you would never dare to say to a person if face-to-face.

Ok, enough preachy talk ;D. If you like this kind of photography and have access to instagram, this picture has been made by katv608...she is immensly popular and has lots of kawaii pictures like this.

I agree beauty bloggers are pretty friendly to each other overall. A friend of mine who was reading my blog was quite surprised that how "nice" my comments are, given that I am very sarcastic on line and off...Anyway, I guess that if they actually can stand my writing and finish reading a single post (let alone actually subscribe to the feed), my snark/bad grammar(and spelling) shouldn't be that difficult to swallow...

I had to deal with some biatches on a Russian beauty forum this week - one of them took a picture of my face from my blog and posted all kinds of insulting comments and others joined in. Apparently, i have too many products. LiveJournal disabled the link to my blog and deleted the thread. Also had a problem with a Polish forum (again, deleted by the admins) be ause i must have a Sugar Daddy who buys me all this stuff! There are some nasty, jealous, resentful women in Russia and Eastern Europe! Funnily, I never get insults from Asians or Western women.

Hi Citrine,
I kind of like the honest (somewhat snarky) entries better than the ones that are completely over the moon and positive all the time. You got to have a bit of humor/irony in the field of beauty: even if you say you do these things for yourself, the facts are that societies prefer the pretty/healthy looking so the effort we make can sometimes lead to a bit of sarcasm into what we put on our faces/what claims cosmetic companies make/etc. And yeh, your readers will recognize/appreciate the particular style of writing and they can choose if they like it or not.

Hi Jamilla,
Jealousy comes into play in lots of fields, but when a woman buys a lot of products people assume that 1. someone else pays for it if either as a husband/partner or, worse, 2. they assume you earn your money in a 'inappropriate' way. I can see that in my environment a lot...not in my face but people claim I probably sell my body, duh, if that would be the only way a woman can earn her money...such limited thoughts of them.
It is why I prefer to stay anomynous. I still want to share the information and my experience about beauty. Or as one beautyblogger said 'I buy stuff (swatch them) so you don't have to'. At least my beauty 'addiction' can have a purpose by making the selective process of other buyers online a bit easier :D

i like what u said about the beauty bloggers being friendly :) people these days think because they can comment anonymously they can say bad things about a person, although no one knows who they are, i think God still counts that as a bad thing..specially in youtube, i cant believe how unethical people can get this days and im just 23 O_O but people older than i am act like they did not learn its not proper to bad mouth people >_< T^T

Hi Birkie! Thanks for your comments! I also had a problem with nasty women from a North American CHINESE forum this week, who assumed that my HUSBAND gave me a huge allowance to buy all my Suqqu. I did dedicate today's post to them, though!
