Wishlist collection Spring 2012

I am quite delighted with the new spring-colour featured with Asian and Western brands. They are released in the late winter, which, just like a snowdrop, gives you hope for spring to arrive.

One of my favourite collection must be the one from Kose Addiction: The Sand Castle edition

Perhaps I like this collection because it hints more towards summer than spring.

Moreover, the dusty, duny, sandy colours are so gorgeous. And I know Kose Addiction is stellar in making an excellent formula.

For more upcoming collections of new Spring collections I would advise to look at Rougedeluxe (here), who is always ahead of the newest releases.

For me it will be a matter of patience and frequently visiting ichibankao and mihokoshop for the SandCastle edition to launch.  Yikes, they are already there on ichibankao!!!!

I really like Bobbi Brown Rose Collection too, but for Addiction value I like the look of this one the most right now...

5 new things I would like to have...

Writing a beauty blog means that I try more cosmetic products than the average person around. There is just something about the lure of a product that has HG potential (holy grail), even though you are perfectly satisfied with the things you already have.

Although I can be lured easily in buying something that I fancy, I still have certain wishlists around for things that look quite interesting, but are

1. quite expensive or are financially not the best thing to do
2. unneccesary (most of my buys are unnecessary, so that excuse does not really work, although some products are even less necessary than others).
3. require difficult strategies to order 
4. am not certain about if my skin would tolerate/like, or if it would flatter me...etc.
5. have a waiting list...
6. has gotten mixed reviews
7. are from a brand I haven't had any success with in the past...

Still, they are interesting enough to remain on my wishlist.

1. Kose Addiction Autumn 2010 blush in Gorgeous

Yes Factor:
I have had good experiences with Kose Addiction before (posts here). And after seeing the online colour picture of Gorgeous, I think I am smitten: it is that certain mauve/rosy colour that could suit my complexion perfectly.

I am also enticed by the blush in Good Girl. Oh lord, I think I want all the eyeshadows as well! For the Lady Gaga lovers there is even a colour named Bad Romance in a shockingly matte purple. Still, I think I would skip the Bad Romance and go for the smoky Twig.

And this time I am not too critical over the promotion picture. The collection is London-themed, so it actually makes a bit of sense they put a rock-chick kind of girl on the promo picture. Although, one of my favourite bloggers, old cow from worshipblues, is a Londoner as well and she would make an awesome rock-chic too. And it makes sense, fashion bloggers are having a larger say in the collections of the grande fashion house and get bags named after them, so why not putting our favourite beauty bloggers as the faces of cosmetic products?

No or maybe factor:
Price: This blush is Expensive with a capital E. And what if there are chunky glitters in it, or the colour is not what I expected it to be. Oh, and don't I already have a thousand of these colours yet?

2. Tigi Catwalk Sleek Mystique Straight Collection.

yes factor:
I have straight hair. So depending on my need I want to pretend it is either curly or wavy, or even get that extra-straight look that was fashionable a couple a years ago (straightening irons, anyone?). It would be blissfull to create that poker-straight look that girl is sporting on the promo-picture without those damaging thongs...

no or maybe factor:
Gosh, how many hair products can a girl have? I need to finish at least one product in order to excuse myself from making another hair-product purchase. And which product to take? All of them? And what if it is a craptastic product again?

3. Edward Bess eyeshadows (or actually the whole line)

Yes factor:
One of the more Niche brands that has been popping up at the beauty blogosphere lately. The eyeshadows are available in six neutral colours, that I like. The swatches online look fantastic and covet-worthy.I have read that they are extremely suitable for the ladies that aren't in their twenties anymore, so a flattering eyeshadow is something covet-worth

no or maybe factor:
 The price. The lack of colours and the dupe-ability of the colours. I am also afraid they will not show up on my eyes. It's perhaps a bit too niche for me. Or worse, I might love it so much that I want to buy the whole collection, something my wallet would not really recommend.

4. Madara tinted Moisturizer

Yes Factor:
You can see it on the promo-picture: it has that whole meadow-type of wholesome-ness. I actually want to be that natural-looking girl with her flawless skin and dance in the summery meadow with her probably perfectly handsome and flawless boyfriend.

And the ingredients:
 Baltic St.John's-wort, plantain, chamomile, algae and rose water, as well as cocoa and jojoba.
 Wow, St. John's worth is a natural form of prozac, so I might even get chirpy by wearing the moisturizer!

It gets even worse: this blogger is so enthousiastic about the tinted moisturizer that it is almost impossible to resist. And darn, the reviewer is a model as well, so she must get offered or made up by lot of products so she must know something about all types of foundations and tinted moisturizers.

No or maybe factor:
Price, ofcourse. And something I mentioned before in previous posts: I think the review I mentioned before is absolutely fantastic, but honestly, that girl would look good with her face covered in the cheapest and most unflattering makeup ever. They would even make such a look trendy when she is wearing it. I like to know if it looks good on real girls with flaws (which makes it a yes factor again, to buy it in order to find out/review for the blog).

5.  Burberry Cape trench jacket.

Yes Factor:
Capes...getting in touch with my superheroine side that must be somewhere. And Burberry, what is the epithome of style by owning a Burberry jacket. It is also Fashionable with a capital F.

No or maybe factor:
This jacket has DREAM ON written on it. I won't even mention the p-word again...it is the ultimate expensive item that I cave, and so impossibly obtainable that I placed it on the end of my wishlist. I might mention my blog birkinbagbeauty, but I haven't even got a midge of Jane Birkin's financial means or the wardrobe she probably has acquired over the years...

Sometimes you encounter a product online that is so hard to get, that only a trip to one of the bigger cities in the world could possibly satify your need to obtain that beauty.

My obsession:  Dolce & Gabbana makeup

Yes, the perfumes are available at every street-corner in my cute, little country. (well streetcorners, it is not that bad...however, every drugstore has probably something from D & G in their collection)

The powders, eyeshadows and lipsticks were only a fata morgana to me: visible online, but out of reach for my thirsty need for something so gorgeously packaged and decadently luxurious.

After a year of lusting and hunting ebay in a feeble attempt to snap up a palette (unable) I gave up hope of finding that oasis anytime soon.

But then....

There she is, My beauty....

(sorry about the quality again...It might be me, and not the camera. I will probably have to do a course of "how to photograph for blatantly-girly-girls-who-have-absolutely-no-feeling-for-technical-stuff-at-all")

The colour selection I picked...120 Mediterraneo!

Sorry chaps, I haven't even thought about swatching this beauty because I am absolutely enthralled that I finally got the palette.

I might stare for ages at the golden packaging before even opening it and looking at the colours! Let alone swatch them!

So, I will link you to one of my first beauty blog reads: the Makeupandbeautyblog by Karen and her post and swatches (here).

Still, one day I will feel like the Dolce & Gabbana Mediterraneo mood, and finally wear one or more of these colours.

Until then, I finally got my lust-have Dolce & Gabbana eyeshadow quad! Woooooot!

I want, I want...a Shiseido InteGrate autumn 2010 eyeshadow palette...

Yippy, the cosmetic fall collections are slowly being released in some of the webshops.

I have not been lusting over too many things, but I am very enchanted by the Shiseido Integrate Fall 2010 palette with that cute, little heart.

The colour I like right now is BR701, but I also like the smokey version that you can create with GY905.

Etsy inspiration: Fall 2009 Fashionistas

Normally I browse the etsy site for cute and small things that are affordable and handy. But etsy is such a place for everybody who has a creative edge (or a good eye for vintage finds) that I could not help checking out some fashionable items as well.

Yes yes, I have been influenced by the latest heap of Glossy magazines that are chockfull of the 'IT' trends of Autumn 2009. It seems like summer has hardly started, and we are already looking at the things to wear for Autumn.

Anyway, I found some gorgeous and somewhat extravagant things that are absolutely lust-worthy.

Nostalgia's Fierce Fashion Scarf (or, a little bit of everything attached to your scarf)

I like this girl: she is normal, fierce and makes some wickedly fun creations. This scarf is everything wrapped in one, you can wear it in several different ways, and still affordable ($40).

Iheartnorwegianwood's cage skirt has been featured on various fashionista-blogs already. But it looks like so much fun! I love her Fringe necklace as well: it updates your ol' t-shirt and gives it a dash of A/W 2009 without investing too much $$ in it.

I have become slightly in love with these Tinkerbell ballet flats from spirocreations. Dainty shoes with a LAAAARGE pop of yellow colour.


They do not come that cheap ($140), but you will not be the average girl wearing Birkinstocks for sure.

Mmm, I found my imaginary, lust-have scarf, skirt, dress, vest, necklace and shoes...now I need the bag.

And so I will dream on about cute, fashionable thingies for next Autumn/Winter 2009...only if the creditcard would be as willing as well...;D

Jewellery crush: marquiscamus

I am probably one of the many that have been crushing on beautiful accessories and jewellery lately. I already bought a übergorgeous necklace from the talented glowchaser lately (here). I have, however, a more expensive crush right now.

I found the jewellery site marquiscamus.com, and have been blown away by the whimsical and quirky pieces they have been making. They combine several materials and fabrics in order to make true statement necklaces and other trinklets. Look at this modern piece!


Their prices, alas, are rather impressive as well...ahum. I am thinking about recreating some of the easier pieces from their collection, with my own spin on it. But as for now, I will be looking regularly to the beautiful pieces.

I love the names of the collections as well: they consist of Modern Rebel, Victorian Romance, Victorian Rebel, Red Carpet and Joker.

This chain beneath is of the Victorian Rebel collection. It combines black cloth roses on a chunky black chain, and those little stones at the end are 'Vintage Chandelier crystal' (here, don't look at the price)

A piece from the Modern Rebel collection....Look at the combination of that tie and jewellery: BRILLIANT.

Pretty and princessy: the Victorian Romance collection. This piece has a vintage perfume bottle dangling beneath (here). I wonder if the necklace would be heavy like this.

After a period of using the computer for studying, I have refound the love of ordering online. I cannot post anything beautiful yet, but let me sum up for the items I am anxiously waiting for:

• Cle de Peau eye quint in 21: I saw this beauty on facial-shop.com! It was the gorgeous item I blogged about before (here), and I jumped up and down when I finally found it online! Unfortunately, the palette I ordered first, no 20, was sold out. Good for me I browsed a bit further, so I found a even better palette for my needs.
• Maquillage Face creator in 22: I already have and adore the 33 (review here) but I still want a bit of bronzer colours for the upcoming spring (no, spring has not sprung yet in my miserable little country). I love to be pale and I am completely fine with being pale (and the Japanese aestetics value pale faces) but my country values 'the tan'. So, I have to fake it a bit in order to avoid comments it I have been ill...LOL
• Sofina Primavista smooth coat base from bobodave.com. I have ordered a couple of Sofina Primavista samples earlier. Actually, I ordered them to try out the Bright up Base and ended up liking the Smooth Coat base even more for 'airbrushing' my pesky pores. Another bonus, there is not silicony feel that you can have with the usual primers.
• Maquillage Moisture Rouge (sheer type) PK 705. I ordered a sample set of some Maquillage lipsticks on bobodave before, and ended up liking the RS 724 (color type) and PK 705. And whoohoo, Facial shop had the PK 705 for a good discount ($ 21.99 instead of the $34 I have seen at other webshops). I still want the RS 724.

Haven't I seen her before? + lemming

The promo images of the Cle de Peau (by Shiseido) Absolute beauty spring look 2009 left me mesmerized by the beauty of the cover model. I absolutely dig her heavy eyeliner and peachy nude lips. However, I could not shake the feeling that I have seen that look before:

Indeed, she looks a lot like the old-school bombshell Brigitte Bardot...both makeup-wise and hairwise. Even the image that she is lying seductively on the bed: very Bardot-esque.

Anyway, after seeing these pictures and after an important listing of Cle de Peau eyeshadow palette in Jojoba's Top Favourite Items From 2008-list, I find myself in dire need of a Cle de Peau eyeshadow palette. I only hesitate about which colour palette I am going to take. I love neutrals for eyes, so the 121 looks less red (and more suitable) for me. Or should I order another colour, such as the smokey palette in no 14 recommended by Jojoba?

Lemming dillema's....and I did forget to mention the average price of this palette (about $47 on ebay, and it retails for $75).

Still, I want I want I WANT!!!!

benefit Coralista - on the site

I have been looking forward to the lauch of benefit's new blush since I saw swatches of it on Karen's blog. This blush is supposed to be as flattering as Nars Orgasm, without the obnoxious (to me) golden glittery parts.
Today I found it listed on benefit's site (here)! Wonderful, I already ordered mine...

I am the biggest fan of Benefit's Dallas, so I hope this one will be just as fab! It retails for $28 online, but benefit often has a good deal: I used PRETTY15 for 15% off. (more discount codes to be found at retailmenot.com)

lust-have: cute jewellery

I still suffer a bit from the awful credit crunch situation, so the reckless 'shop-till-you-drop' philosophy has been put aside for a while.

However, I still think that you can earn a lot of style credit with some cute and quirky necklaces. The average heart around your neck is a bit passé, and a nametag...how 1999?

lust-have: F-troupe bow pumps

I really dig these cute-as-a-button ballet pumps with a big bow. The bow itself even has little studs in the middle....and the patent leather has a scattering of glitters inside...

They would set me back £70.00+ £15 shipping; that would be 108 euros. And would my sturdy and wide feet be comfortable in them?

Still, these f-troupe flats are absolutely adorable...they are available on the f-troupe site.

Will I cave, or will I be sensible???
