I hauled from Colette.fr. It has been more than a year since I ordered from them but it was the lure of another gift with purchase again in the month June.

Eventually, the shipping took a longer time because the bracelet was OOS and they forgotten my freebies: maybe they were finished or because of the delay in shipping they didn't find it necessary to list me under the freebie-action of the June-month anymore.

However, most of my curiosity and the reason I ordered it is for skincare: I had read a couple of raves on Joelle Ciocco, but this one is available in Holland as well so that is not why I ordered from Colette (besides of the beautybox I didn't get). My biggest curiosity goes to My Codage Summertime. Similar as the Springbreak they released this spring, it is a limited edition targeted for skins in (duh) Summertime.

This actually brings me back to when Will Smith was still the "Fresh Prince of Bell Air" 

I like the laidback-ness & happiness of this song.

Hello Wednesday,

1.  Venetian splendour
I kind of got my mind drifting to Venice. Perhaps because I saw 'The Tourist' for the second time, perhaps because I saw on facebook that JamillaCamel is holidaying there now, or perhaps because it's a darn beautiful city.

2. Greeting card wisdoms I believe in...
Sometimes I am a bit iffy about the gooey lovequotes about forever&ever&ever&a-day but I think friends deserve more quality time in the media.There's a mothersday, fathersday, Christmas & Valentine...even an animal day & secretaryday. Where's friendsday? (make it wednesday, friendsday today?)

I deliberately skipped last week's Mid Quirkies because I was in the middle of the giveaway. This week I'm back!

1. "Parting is such sweet sorrow"

I already mentioned the giveaway and I had this cute Dutch Miffy up. I bought it for the giveaway, but, as you can see on the detail: I think it's AAAdorable! I actually don't want to send it but I will and will get myself a cute Miffy too.

2. Pastel Green Nails again

I was on the brink of buying new nailpolish when I realise I still had the perfect pastel green in my stash. The only thing is that I like my limited editions but I almost do not dare to touch them. For the simple reason that they are limited edition and I don't want to finish them. This bottle has been from a swap with another person from Makeupalley a couple of years ago: 4 perhaps?

That makes me realise I miss Makeupalley a lot: I used to stay up all night to chat with the American girls that were more active at that moment (before the boyfriend and I went to live together). I learned from reading Drivellerkate that makeupalley is still an active place so I should go there and check out their forums again. I used to love it so much and the fact I could swap things from fellow makeupaddicts all around the world made it so special. I think blogs have taken the place that makeupalley once did but with forums the interaction can be more direct. Moreover, I would love to swap for some Cover Girl! Or even better: Tarte palettes ♥

1. Graffiti and words

Something about graffiti and the persons who like to put up certain words. This one is kind of simple, but still complicated: 'ask'.
You probably had the good old 'just ask' sweet advice in the past and perhaps you kind of ignored that one too because you didn't want to look ignorant. Dutch culture sometimes can be quite blunt and forward into asking things directly and questioning/debating about lots of things.  Other cultures have different values and require a more indirect way of communicating. And sometimes, do you really like to know the answer on your question? Perhaps only the answer that would feel convenient to you?

You see, graffiti can make me a bit philosophical afterall...perhaps the maker intended that...perhaps not. I should ask him/her.

2. Beautiful vintage typewriters

This one looks so beautiful but I'm actually really glad the computers came up so corrections could be made easier and not with that wipe-out device on the machine. And before the wipe-out button on the typing machine, women just had to type over the whole page when they made just one mistake. Wow...perhaps this one would only go into the personal letters

1. Getting Paramaribo!

I think I said during the lust-have post that I would go the lippencil in Mexican Rose first, but then I realised I liked the NARS duo a bit better than yet another product for the lips. Moreover, I am not completely wild about my other lippencil which made me doubt the bright pink colour on the base of the texture.

Anyway, Paramaribo is amazing...I actually love that charteuse yellow colour better than the darker Olive toned hue because it is quite original in my stash. It works well with my colour of eyes and is bright enough to make a statement. And I really like NARS eyeshadow's texture for my eyes, a lot.

2. Sleepy lounger

I added this delightfully dozing cat for cute's sake. I love cats although they can really have a mind of their own.

The Fashionweeks & the makeup behind it...

Ahh, the delightful table of Dolce & Gabanna, I would love to have an extra room that has dressing tables like this (adding Burberry, NARS, Kose Addiction and some other brands to it as well).
But it is funny how the highlight is on clothes with the fashionweeks but the makeup and hair are important to set the mood as well.

I think the makeupartists really have to bring in the heavy goods for this last week, because all the models are tired, overworked and probably hungrier than ever. So I wonder what they will use to prep up their skins for the last weeks. Probably a heavy dose of SKII sheetmasks and a lot of undereye circle erasers.

I know a lot of beauty bloggers have a hidden makeupartist inside of them. However, for those that do...would you really like to work during the fashionweeks? It seems so hectic...

Oh, the Oscars were noteworthy too but I think that one will be covered all over...Especially the fact if the right leg of Miss Jolie was covered with makeup (it probably was, with some shaders and highlighers)...haha, what a weird hype, actually. Let the woman make funny poses, she probably did it on purpose anyway to break the standard posing rules.
