Kose Addiction Neverland 031ME

It is eyeshadow time!

After being really impressed by Kose Addiction's single eyeshadow in FlashBack that I bought in December (here), I really wanted to buy another one.

So I did.

My first purchase of Kose Addiction eyeshadow was a safe bet, as far as internet shopping can be safe. In this case Kose Addiction has some accurate swatches on their site, so when I ordered a colour that looked like a beautiful taupe eyeshadow, I actually received a (even more) beautiful taupe colour.

This time I wanted a deeper colour that would be perfect for creating a smokey eye. I loved the online swatches of a blackened teal colour named Neverland. I really liked the name Neverland too...there is something whimsical about Peter Pan and the idea of always staying young and being able to fly away....

Again, Kose's swatches are quite accurate, although the colour is more blackened in real life.

In the compact case...

I could not capture the greenness and the darkness on camera when it was in the compact. The swatches are more accurate.

It is a bit of a duochrome colour, although I would not say it is a duochrome. It has the ability to look different from alternative angles. For example, this is the colour in winter daylight without much sun.

I included this picture to show you how the eyeshadow looks in a different light. It almost looks like a black colour only, with some silver glow.

I also made a picture with flash...Now you can see the tealish green colour coming alive.

I have to admit that I do not have many deeper colours suitable for a smokey eye, so my opinion might be a bit based on little experience.

The reason why I do not have that many dark eyeshadows is that they often are too matte, too glittery or do not have a smooth consistency. I have not experienced any of these things with this eyeshadow, as it blends so smoothly on imperfect eyelids, is not too flat (matte) and does not have these glittery things.

The hidden teal in the black base makes it so beautiful and a welcoming alternative to a standard grey or black smokey eye. It works fantastically on light eyes but I think it will look really fresh on darker eyes as well. It still lends itself for a sultry smokey eye, but the teal makes it more fresh and modern.

Overal, another winner eyeshadow from Kose Addiction. They truely are addictive....

(I bought this eyeshadow at ichibankao.com over here, who started selling these since 10th of January, yippy!)

(Kathy on Lotuspalace reviewed some of Kose Addiction too, and her review on the lipsticks are really promising, so read up over here)

Addiction is truly addictive! I just wish that they have eyeshadow palettes out instead of customizable singles.

The finish is so pretty for this shadow, sometime dark colors can get pretty boring with America brands shadow...

Anyway, I personally have no clue how to use dark shadow so I think I will just wait and see if Adam Beauty will carry the line in the near future (their blush and lipstick do look pretty neat)...
